  • hello bhaiyon!

I'm looking for a 37 tooth rear sprocket for the bike.. Any idea if there's one on sale somewhere or if there's a 37 T that I can buy from a spares shop? AFAIK 220FI is the only one with a 37T..

    • shrinathrao, nav75, ROCKRZ -- Thanks for the advice and directing me to mechanics. I shall go ahead and replace the whole wheel (Probably with an 18")

Will have to wait for a bit though. Low finances

It is very sensible of you to replace the whole sub-assembly in one go. Now, it will be a new sub-assembly with predictable service, ipso-facto better safety rather than a combo of differently aged parts.

One observation here. AFAIK, the Bull has a 19" rear wheel. If you replace it with an 18 incher, the gearing will be effected lower than the stock one. If that is what you want - higher pick-up and getaways, fine. One issue I see is that of tyres. The present choice of tyres for an 18 inch rim are restricted to light bikes like Pulsars etc. The heavy weight boxer that the Bull is, you would need a heavy duty tyre too and finding this for an 18 inch rim might be a job.

Just realized that a friend is selling his 18" wheels setup, that he has build for this Std500. Its using the original hub + 18" rim + secura sport/vertigo tyre. In case you are interested, PM me & I'll share the contact details.

The Classic500 comes with an 18 inch rim at the rear. One reason of changing the rim size is that I want to have a wider range of options for the tyre. Last time I had to get a tyre every MRF dealer around Viman Nagar was out of stock.

That said, do you think an 18" wheel will affect stability of the motorbike? Or would cause other issues?
