Mistake 1: Was riding very close to you (can say tailgating)

Mistake 2: Didn't see the signal you gave me (i think so, did u actually give a signal?)

Mistake 3: Panic breaking on sand , result a minor skid and both the bikes kissed each other.

Lessons learnt: Always remember your basics while riding.

@viper, sanj: Did you forget the water crossing after Chang-La where I parked my bike, resulting a bend rvm??

@Antz: Enjoy man, ride safe... we missed spiti this time , but there's always a next time.

EDIT: @eshan: what about independence day brunch/ breakfast/ dinner g2g?

I had signaled with my right hand , the next thing I know that you were next to me

Did you park bike or did you make the bike feel the so called road and the chilled water

Yes we missed Spiti, next time exclusively for Himachal.

Good question, I had posted it last week and was seeking a reply from members in regards to g2g. Some of them were busy uploading pics and discussing who fell and followed who, some were busy posting ride details, but none could reply where and how do you want tomorrow g2g since its Independence Day.

Cant believe this is happening. But there is actually no g2g setup for tomorrow, i had even asked should it be like a normal g2g but no reply for that either.

Chal Chal ro mat ab. Pehle to khud theek se arrange nahi karna n baad me rona... Wahi aata hai tereko

Anyways, In other news, I burnt the clutch of my bike trying to cross Rohtang Pass last night. Was almost left stranded for the night (in slush, fog, rain, traffic jam, on a high altitude mountain pass) when like a godsend, I met a bike mechanic going down the same route!! Thanks to him, we could ride the
bike down to Manali by midnight. And since I couldn't get a place to stay at that hour, he also offered me to stay at his place.

So, as of now, my bike has been fixed. Its ready for the journey to continue tomorrow. And I finally got into a hotel so I can relax properly.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Very True- "Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however, extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity."

I like- "Bikes are not supposed to be a rational decision. If you can park it and walk away without looking back to admire it, you got the wrong one."

This is OT but hope the mods will excuse..

I'm Sriram from Chennai, me and my friends are coming to Pune next week for work. Planning to visit lonavla, mahabaleshwar, the usual. Wanted to know if the weather is conducive for a visit to these places?

Your reply will be greatly appreciated. Am leaving on Friday, maybe I can borrow one of your bikes !

both the places will be rainy and foggy during that time.
if you are riding to these places on different days, its good. but if you are planning o visit both places on same day, it could be too hectic. instead, you do lonavala + amby valley (good roads + twisties) and add matheran for a good trek.
mabahleshwar deserves a complete day. you could also club in kaas lake if you are not intrested in chilling out in mahaby.
