Sumit and Viper would be riding back after the LEH trip.

Reminds me of Inder turning back from Lonavala when we four set for rain filled Nagaon Anniversary G2G ride. He somehow couldnt feel his ride to be right. (Felt a wobble in front wheel).

Okay .. now another question that I have in here for everyone with any suggestions ...
How good are Scorpion, Bell or Icon helmets .. anyone have them or can share any experiences ...
I know AGVs n Shoies are great but they cost great too ... Ve seen Only rich people afford them ...

Also ... anything that one can get from in here considering attending CSS next yr .. as far as riding gear or bike accessories goes.
Are riding suits compulsary or we could do with a better leather jackets ? How does the weather wear at that time in chennai?
I would be getting touring shoes and a helmet is also on the cards .. but any thing keeping CSS in mind would be great if I could manage to get.

I dont want to buy anything that mods the factory settings of the bike as I dont feel very confident in doing so, so please refrain from suggesting any race kits or likes.

        cheerz ...
ride safe and wear helmets !!!

Have put in a thread in Help Me section as well on the helmets .. if relevant, please reply there as well.
i guess you are in the us, for riding gear checkout Motorcycle Jackets & Biker Helmets Clothing Store - Leather Boots, Chaps & Motorcycle Gear they have some really great prices for the gear that they offer.....

I wouldnt call this a failure, its more to do with your mind than anything else. When I was starting for the chennai ride, the same issues cropped up for me too... but then I am wired a bit weirdly. Nothing to boast about, but the whole episode reached to a level when the mind said "Is that your best shot *****? I will do this, and do this now! Lets see what happens!"

Its nothing to be proud about, and its nothing to be upset about either! Life is a set of choices we take. Every choice has an outcome. Every outcome gives an experience. The experience experienced is what matters. The choice we didnt take, doesnt matter.

Yes that's right .... but I wanted to know hoe good these products are.. the one I ve mentioned. There are a lot of places I could get them but I am not sure if they are good n comfortable for usage. Or rather I should go for the top rankers here.

I was talking about intuition and not about mental or physical preparation / fitness. I doubt that Antz would have any issue on those counts.

best way to find out if they are comfortable would be to visit a store and find out for yourself, you might just find these helmets more comfortable than the top rankers...

Maybe the fact that it was not 'just another ride' made me choose otherwise. For me, it was not about 'giving my best shot', it was about enjoying the ride. Because clearly, if I could ride back 300km, I could have very well gone further the same distance and been in Chittorgarh instead of Nasik. This ride was supposed to be a birthday gift for my bike, doing it this way was definitely not done. We would have done it anyways, but not enjoyed it as much as we are going to, now that the issue has been fixed . It was more to do with intuition rather than mental preparedness. Till that point, I was covering distance at an average speed of close to 80kmph (far above SS Pace). The problem only was that I wasn't getting the goody goody *vibes* from the bike. The issues only got noticeable *after* I turned around.

Anyways, different strokes for different folks. Lets see when I can manage to make another attempt.

This must have been extremely hard decision to take. It really shows your maturity.
