Krishnagiri dam is a good idea, and the roads from hosur to k'giri is superb, had been through this road when i was heading for elagiri ride with the BBC guys.

Find that damn dam guys, and post nice big pics of it. We went some time back and managed to cover all areas EXCEPT the dam.
I won't be making this ride though..going outta town.

Is this the dam near a place called Shoolagiri by any chance. There was a BN ride to this place last month. Missed that one, I'm in for this one.
Newez I'm sure Capt Jack "Shadez" Sparrow will lead us to the right location.
If we leave early (before 5:30) Hosur is okie otherwise its a pain. There is an alternate route through Varthur that joins directly at Attibele. This can be taken from Sarjapur too. I've heard it goes though some villages/farms and is scenic. I dont know the exact route though. Maybe somebody can help here.
From Attibele junction we turn left towards Krishnagiri.
Another destination to be considered is "Shivanasamudra falls". I believe its on Mysore road but have no idea about the road conditions. I just saw some pics on the net and its pretty, felt like taking a dip right away

My vote goes to the Krishnagiri dam.. The roads are simply amazing (after Electronic City), to say the least..
I have been to this place.. It was quite nice when I had last gone 8 months ago.. Hadn't been there through the Mysore Road route.. Had taken the Kanakpura Road route, & it was a real pain.. Plus, its quite a narrow road (1+1 laner most of the time), so I don't think it'll be recommended for us, considering the no. of bikes we are foreseeing to participate in the ride..
The place is very nice, but I think the Krishnagiri dam option scores over. mainly due to better roads..

Krishnagiri? Could I be counted in? Tibby bhai and me had been on that road recently,really good roads,unfortunately we didn't have the time to go all the way to the dam! We both were thinking of suggesting that place,but by that time someone else already did!Comment

Very sorry for crashing - in. Is there space for a pimped R15?? There is a possibility that I might be there and so would try to join in, if I reach Bangalore before ur starting time. Will update details here!
