It's not show off's bro, on a serious note what I've said was completely true and everyone here agrees to it. Will you believe if I say myself & Josh reached Ooty from Mettupalayam in 20 mins flat (was between 20-25 though)? That too i was on my 200 & Josh in R15?? That is the sync we posses & Suru is well aware of it as he was following us with a pillion.Regards to the sponsoring, he get's me his close friends R15 for the ride as i was bikeless during my restoration phase and also now where i can't run by 135 5S that aggressively as it is breaking-in.

seriously man.. now you've got me all tempted and roaring to go.... just cant wait to push start my ride and rip the hills... phew... guess it's going to be a longgg wait..

1 Day trip is very much fine ... You make the plans as u are the master in that area! What route shall we opt for? One of my friends suggested this route for a one day ride

Sorry, was just browsing through and saw this incredulous statement.

Mtp - Ooty is at least 50Km + , and to do it 20 - 25 minutes, you would have had to average 150km/hr - 120 km/hr.

Would have to go with not believing, sorry. No offence to anyone, but the math doesnt add up. (Unless Ooty has moved closer since I checked)

Neither ooty has moved close since you or I have checked nor we maintained an astonishing speed of 150 kmph in our superbikes to reach ooty. The fact was addressed in general to talk about the sync we had in common and to be precise we had to start from Burliar to reach ooty within the time I've specified. Still finding it hard to believe or the math doesn't add up mate? Do Join us the next time for the same ooty trip Btw. being from Coimbatore, why don't you join g2g's?? Never have seen nor interacted with you. Hoping to meet you soon and you do have a beautiful garage. Does the CB you own is a Blue one???

guys myself and sivaraj have planned to go for the western ghats trip(5 days) which i proposed earlier!!(page 144) ...starting from cbe on 31st morning if all goes well!!

@deepak / sivaraj - appreciate your spirit of riding! please put up a raw plan and let us know so that we can provide our inputs. i can also suggest u few cheap hotels.

I would suggest u a trip like this if it is really 5 days!

To be very frank with you, we are not just friends but much more than that & without these very few people there would be no X-Bhp in & around Cbe & what it is right now. Good that you're giving it a kick start & probably sensed the heat generated. Anyways, I'm not into that now. You & Deepak have a ball of a time & do come back in one piece.

I sincrely request all the above to join again and kickstart some rides with the newcomers like us so that spirit of riding is spread and more riders join in! To be frank ... all u seniors kindly plan some rides immediately ... atlease a few one day rides ... I have been here for more than 6 months and the only ride i have been in is the xbhp tri-state get-together that too was ornagised by the kerala chapter.

C'mon guys ... do something ... let's spread the heat in the city!

No offenses meant - Reaching Mettupalayam from Ooty in 20-25 mins is impossible. I have been riding this road in my RX100 / RX135 / Shogun / Bullet Lightning 500 since my college days back in 90's when i was a wild rider then too never have come even closer to 20-25! In case, if it has been done - It is irresponsible & unsafe driving (which all of us do during a certain age) in which we break the speed limits / cause inconvenience to other travellers on the road. I would appreciate if u don't mention these here as we junior members consider u senior members as heroes and we might try to ride the same way! Let's spread only Safe & Responsible Riding!

Ha..ha..! I'm not defending ur statement too mate & neither we were too rash in the way we drive. There has been several witnesses for the same what we had mentioned above. The average speed we maintained was around 80-85 which constitutes the saying & we did start the acutal timing from Burliar, to mention about the sync i did mention as Mtp. The roads were so bloody empty by 7'ish in the morning that we hardly encountered a few vehicles. I seriously know it's hard for newbees to beleive it, but let's ride again. Once ur in the sync with the team with proper signals, I'm sure you guys can easily catch up the same pace that Josh & I share.

Ok - Burliar to Ooty on an weekday even today is possible. But, still it has to be rash, wild & very riskier! I always would prefer to reach 10 mins late riding safe!
