Hope I have made it up for the other day . Thanks for joining in but too bad that you left without letting us know.

Waiting for the pics from your mobile. Please put the link up in Picasa.

Anyway, me(R 15), dogg(P 220) and couple of my friends (Unicorn) just covered a road trip to Warangal. 1000 Pillar temple and Warangal Fort were the destinations. Heat was brutual, and more than any place i have visited last week (Bidar, Medak, Mahabubnagar) Warangal is easilyu the most humid. All of us were sweating like crazy. Over al la fun filled trip.

              Cheers.

                • No adventures this time though.. (http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/6...rip-hyd-4.html)

                  so a ride report..
                  pick's @ ImageShack Album - 67 images
                  Yfrog Album

we were supposed to meet at paradise at 5:30am to ride off to warangal..
madmax was late ,so 4 of started at arnd 6:20 on 3 bikes, filled the bikes in sec and went till vikarabad fort(is that wat it's called?).. had breakfast

few pic's.. check out abive links for the rest of them..

then reached the 1000 pillar temple at arnd 9am.. that is one magnificent monument.. stones every where.. and that to were huge one's..
                  a must see place.. temp's nearin ~37oC..

chickkkkssss..no,not the living one's,the one's on the pillars (carvings)

went to the warangal fort from there(had to search as there were no boards)
by this time i was tandoori fried.. red in colour were my wrists(no gloves)

i expected a big a$$ fort that would kick the golkonda's a$$.. but to my surprice it was a kind of unfinished park with some stone's lyin arnd..
no,actually they r the ruin's of the fort and were quiet interestin.. wonder why all the figure's on the rock's had their heads, legs or hands cut off, sometimes all and sometime's the other private's cut off(u know what i mean ).. anyway was a great place.. started of arnd 1pm and stopped at a dhaba for lunch before comin to hyd..
i was fillin up at uppal and the other's left..
but a very nice trip overall..

                  • ^^^ a fast ride there. Not about the speeds you did on the road but for the speed with which you guys have covered the historical locations.

BTW, there's a lot of history to Warangal Fort and the temples you have visited. About the state of statues - there are two reasons. 1) with time when the stone carvings age, the largest protrusions our of the stone break - the hands, many times legs and heads are first victims. 2) almost every islamic invader in India made it a point to destroy Hindu temples and cut of hands, legs and heads of the statues and deities. If you felt bad about what you saw there, you would simply cry if you see what happened to Hampi - especially if you know your history well.

He's a genius. Have to visit his museum once. He's a relative of one of my friends. That guys car is currently with Mr Sudhakar for modification into a 2 door sports car. Will soon visit him to finalize the design.

We can make it a G2G one day at the Museum.

Thanks for the pics. But those tiny thumbnails where we've to click on each one to open the larger image just don't do justice to the place and to our viewing pleasure Give us a link to the entire album to view a slide show

today i think i saw a Black suzuki bandit in punjagutta... near the traffic lights near hsbc bank at around 2 pm today.. at first i thought it was a new ZMR with someone removing the lower half of the fairing.. but then spotted four exhaust pipes and twin disc brakes up front. by the time i brought out m cellphone to capture it the lights changed and this guy zoomed off... and i think i saw AP number plates on that bike!!!... man the growl was awesome... there was no mistaking... i saw this bike

after i came back to my room... i googled suzuki bandit S hyderabad and found this link...Suzuki Bandit and GSX1000R, Suzuki Bandit and GSX1000R launching in India,Suzuki Bandit and GSX1000R launch date
is this true? i couldnt find a post in the superbikes section so am posting here instead of starting a new thread
