I was at bordi-umbergaon to celebrate my new year with friends. Its got a long stretch of narrow road going parallel to the Arabian sea from Dahanu to Umbergaon. I loved the tranquility & peace the place has got to offer so much so that not a single fire cracker was heard. A perfect way to start a new year according to me.

Love that stretch from Dahanu - Umbergaon. Light house is nice too but unlike Alankar and Satyen, couldn't get in - timing issues!

Panvel-lavasa-kolad(tamhini ghat)-panvel(via NH17)

I dont know road conditions at Tamhini ghat..but NH 17 is newly laid (my informer frnd did Ganpati-pule to jogeshwari in 5hrs)

and distance travelled will be the same in both routes..

Yes yes, we know the "right" season to do Rajmachi is the rainy season. However, if you are willing to do breakfast rides to Lonavala every 2 weeks, Rajmachi is a good-better option too.

So stop whining,
the sun is shining,
Come one, come all,
Everyone will get a chance to fall,
Don't push, don't fight
Everyone will get a bamboo up his bike.

Nice plan but at this season if you take a fall than your gonna feel it through out the season.

Haan neeche khade hoke sabka wait karna boring hi hota hai. Kabhi kabhi throttle pe haath bhi rakhkha karo! :P

Eh maan, you didn't even do it in the rainy season cause you were worried about the R-15 not being upto the task. So no to rainy season, no to sunny paaji season, then which season will you ride in???!!

Throttle pe haath rakhke hi lonavala pahunchuga na... but not beyond that towards rajmachi ...

Maine bhi kiya DK bhau! xbhp Magazine mein photu bhi aaya!!! Yes yes I got a lot of help personally (who didn't!) but the R-15 managed to nail it! So yess, can be done, has been done. Woot!
