Arre I am in no way demeaning what they are doing. I always have a great deal of respect for people who openly share knowledge they have worked hard (and in many cases PAID dearly) to attain. So yes, in all seriousness this sounds like an awesome thing. Wish I could have made it there.

What do you mean that he is a brand waiting to happen ? He has already happenedOriginally posted by alankarmisra View PostDK Bhau, jao, sekho aur wapas aao aur hum ko sikhao! Import Pune cornering technology into Mumbai. I will make phully phuntastic video on you and how you changed the Mumbai biking scene for ever. We will take full liberties with the facts. Chalo chalo, you're a brand waiting to happen! I mean you've already "happened" here, but the world is your oyster (or something like that).

Help/Suggestions
Guyz-
I am planning a ride sometime in next two days covering NH17 and NH4.
This is the route i have in my mind: R B Kadam Rd, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India to Alibag Rd - Google Maps
This will include a stay at Sajjangad fort and tentatively to Kolhapur (might give it a miss).
I need your suggestions on three points.- Route taken: Any suggestions to alter the route for better roads/ scenic veiws in welcomed.
- Arrangements for stay at Sajjangad.
Any other suggestions are also welcomed
PS: The start point is my home and the end point my Native place

You have chosen excellent place for stay ie Sajjangad. I was there this monsoon. Be sure you reach before sunset. The main doors of the fort are closed on sunset to sunrise and hence you cannot enter the fort or even exit from the fort during this time. Shri Samarth Seva Mandal maintains the place and also provide rooms for staying free of cost (usually people who stay there pay some amount as donation). The rooms are clean and separate for men and women.Originally posted by abhee View PostI need your suggestions on three points.- Route taken: Any suggestions to alter the route for better roads/ scenic veiws in welcomed.

Regarding the route, I guess instead of NH3 you meant NH17 which is surely scenic but not as smooth and safe as NH4. I suggest you should stick to NH4 only.

Yeah I meant NH17....
I have ridden till Ratnagiri this monsoon on NH17. A large stretch between Sangameshwar to Ratnagiri was full of potholes; hopefully that might be fixed now. Other than that i was ok riding on NH17.
Can you comment on condition of NH17 beyond Ratnagiri?
