You Do Not Need a SuperBike to Have a SuperCrash

    • Guys, now that I've met with an accident just around my area, I've realised that gears are not just for touring purpose but for everyday riding too.

But I want to know how do you handle them like for ex in the following situations..

      1. Going to a mall/multiplex in Churchgate from Borivali.. Here where do you keep your guards after parking? Wearing knee guards in a mall is obv weird. Gloves can be kept in the bag, but guards? ?

      2. While going to your workplace, what gears do you wear and after reaching office, where to keep them? ?

I carry the Cramster bagpack with me everywhere I go. It takes my helmet too!

Get well soon chirag. same question arises in my mind too, hence i carry only my helmet, riding jacket and gloves. something is better than nothing. After reaching office i carry it inside, because lockers available are too small for jacket, helmet. no other options.

            Good lesson learnt...

Carry your sack, a medium size would do. Keep guards in the bag, or even that sling bag that you get at the store...

About jacket you can keep it back of your work chair.

gloves can be accommodated in the bag or inside helmet too...

If any one mocks at you for bringing so much luggage to work...just smile back...

In the mall, you need not wear guards, What you can do is -
            1) wear them inside your denim or trousers...No one notices that.
            or
            2) carry a sack and keep them inside...

Comon man, its your safety so ek bag hath mein chalta hai!!

My suggestion - go for the cramster helmet bag...worth the value.

Ummm no, I wear them everywhere (have even forgotten to take them off at times and fallen asleep but that's just silly). Sure people look, but who cares (besides no attention is bad attention). So yeah, wear gear within the city limits too. I had posted only a few weeks earlier on my wall - when another friend hit the road - physics doesn't take a break within city limits and neither should you. But yeah like the others suggested a bag is usually a better idea (I'm too lazy so I will still continue to wear my knee guards in malls)

+1 on Satyen's comment on scanning the environment. There's plenty of times when a person or a vehicle will give you a slight hint that s/he is about to get in your way (counter steering, a step towards the road, confused lines) and if you can see that, you'll prevent a lot of issues. But to merge your point in, yeah don't keep looking in the "not-in-front-of-you" direction, scan the environment but do it so that your eyes do come to what's in front of you every few seconds (or milliseconds if you're revving it or riding really close to something due to traffic or whatever).

And so ends the gyan session. I will now watch Nin's Ramachi video, laugh my head off and get back to work.
