Apart from that..Inter-state ride-Hampi ka plan kaisa hai ?Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostSo any plans for the long republic day weekend?
There is one +1 plan being cooked. Anyone+1 interested?
sure it is ! you too should have been there !Originally posted by Pratik91 View PostLOL @ the Hunk guy.. he looked kinda frustrated later on
truly entertaining nin

What you mentioned only helps to reduce the vibrations travel up your palms--fore-arms--arms--shoulders and also from the seat--arse and whatever in that order..Originally posted by Drifty View PostWhile offroading, standing on the footpegs and holding the handlebar a little loose helps, the bike just glides over the gravel.Next time,I expect some tips and tricks for offroading from our senior members,so that it will help people learn instead of becoming a laughing stock!
What i feel and have been myself practicing for learning is that you need to be a good observer and practice rather than just read, write about it
Anyways here is a quick tip and trick that you asked for
Yes its more important so that you don't loose your front end.Originally posted by rachitkohli View PostIMO, holding the handlebars a little tight helps on the offroad.!!
You did pretty good for that path,i know how difficult it was !Originally posted by ROCKRZ View PostThe slope was real steep and the people who sucessfully made it down really knew a lot more on handling the bike
After the second fall, i again tried climbing but could not make it up... Guess i need much more offroading before i attempt such stuff...
Eitherways, it was lot of fun.... Looking forward to rollover on grass again
Even if i reached the top,i almost got stuck at the end for not being at the accurate speed!
Ankit however got there easily..really appreciate that !
P.S. You,husain and ankit did the best on that path atleast for entertaining all !
Nice..please tell me which sofware did you use for editing ?Originally posted by drifter View PostRajmachi ride small video from my side :

A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

Hmm well ... recently i had been to Bhandardhara near igatpuri and the new road at the kasara ghat is really good...its newly laid and has been turned into two one way sections on either side of the hill so u have a good motarable 15 foot wide road with no traffic heading towards you....and it has good number of curves..will be fun to go on a ride there..Originally posted by alankarmisra View PostThis isn't on the way to Rajmachi top - this was some random hill these guys decided to scale which ran perpendicular to our path. The route to rajmachi is the route from where you saw the car coming. None of the others had to scale this hill or anything THIS steep. Nobody was hurt. Nothing lined up for this weekend yet. Stay tuned - someone might plan something or you can plan something and post the details here.
Cheers!
Edit: Saurabh thanks for the Picasa link. So much simpler to download the entire album in one stroke from Picasa then do individual files from FB. Wish everyone did that! You Do Not Need a SuperBike to Have a SuperCrash

3 lessons learnt an hour ago-
1. Always look straight while riding or you'll end up under a truck like I did.
2. Always wear atleast Gloves and don't keep it in your wardrobe like I did and then get stitches on your hand.
3. Always service your bike especially brakes, like I didn't !
Alankar, I was heading to buy gears so that I could join u :-(
Damn !!" A man is also known by the bike he rides :D "

The long weekend plan is to hit Mahabaleshwar, and may be diveagar, shrivardhan, bhimashankar on the way back. +1 se pooch ke dekh! If not, toh aise hi aaja Sachin Nair ko leke!
Had thought about it, infact was supposed to go to Mangalore around then and do this on the return leg, but some challenges. Also considering that Varsha is now getting the hang of longer rides and enjoying it, yehi mauka hain chance pe dance karneka aur ghar par ek aur tourer lane ka! 2 - Correct
3 - Correct
You should actively scan the environment while riding. This includes your lane and the surrounding that can jump/cross to your lane visibily or through blind corners.
2 - is elementary.
3- is suicidal! Service your bikes in regular intervals, ALWAYS inspect your bike before you begin a ride.
The checks include basics like oil level, tyre pressure, RVM alignment, Brakes, Tyre wear, electricals!Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more
