Hi, I m new to xBHP, I suggest u stay in tarkarli rather than at malvan, i have a no. of Rajan Tandel (09765373735), who owns a hotel there, maybe he might be of ur help.Originally posted by pratheekkunder View PostJust a quick question.
Cheap place to stay in Malvan-Tarkarli Area?
I dont want to spend more than 400-500 rs per night per room.
And yes, its a solo ride.
Good Luck

A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

@ NiN :- No Dhaba man. Got a few comments about the last Dhaba G2G and that aint good ones in some perspective. May be an open and quiet place or something. Make it on a Saturday night or eve so that we dont have to rush home to get up the next day early morning.

Visited Aurangabad last week. My friends reached there a day earlier due to leave constraints I reached the next day.Originally posted by Jdsouza81 View PostI'm planning a ride to Aurangabad with a few friends and intend to visit all the places as mentioned on 'Wikitravel'. Namely Ajanta Caves, Ellora Caves, Daulatabad fort, Bibi ka Maqbara, Panchakki, Aurangabad Caves, Soneri Mahal, Chatrapati Shivaji Museum, Lonar and Siddharth Garden. The plan is for 3 days including travel.
I have never been there and need your suggestions in planning the trip. I want to know What is the best route that we can take and which places are worth visiting and in which order to save time.
Day 1: Start from Mumbai (5 AM) - Kasara Ghat - Ghoti - Sinnar - Aurangabad (11 AM). Met my friends there and started for Lonar again.
Aurangabad - Lonar - Aurangabad
Total distance travelled by me on Day 1: 670 Kms
Road conditions on NH3 are amazing. Ghoti-Sinnar is also nice. Sinnar - Kopargaon is in Ok condition and Kopargaon to Aurangabad is in Bad state. Better avoid this route.
I would suggest you take Mumbai - Chakan - Ahmednagar - Aurangabad route (which we took on return journey). This route is in awesome condition and you can easily keep triple digit speeds here.
Nothing much to see near Lonar and the distance from Aurangabad is also a concern if you plan on the same day.
Dont miss Daulatabad fort. Its one of the best and well maintained forts in Maharashtra.
On Day 2 we did Daulatabad, Ellora and Ghrishneshwar.
On Day 3: Panchakki, Biwi Ka Maqbara and return trip via Ahmednagar.

Thanks for this info. I am also planning to do this on 23-24-25 march (if heat is not much). I will avoid Kopargaon route. Ahmednagar route is really awesome, did it few months ago by car, planning to do it on return leg.Originally posted by RAK View PostRoad conditions on NH3 are amazing. Ghoti-Sinnar is also nice. As a eye sight challenged friend of yours, I believe this is a perfectly valid reason for you to throw big grand party to all, or to those with the challenge.
What say mumbai?
PS: Not this weekend please, lets do it on friday AFTER this week.
PPS: Last dhaba g2g was more like a Hotel - wannabe-dhaba G2G, the next one would be a proper dhaba thing.Last edited by satyenpoojary; 02-07-2012, 06:48 PM.Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

YOU organize something to your liking then no? That way you can decide what perspective is good enough for you ;-) Don't write off Dhaba G2Gs just cause you didn't like the comments. There's been a lot of Dhaba G2Gs - some good, some not so good (depending on who is expressing the opinions). If you have specific preferences, organize one. We'll all join in.Originally posted by xstunter View Post@ NiN :- No Dhaba man. Got a few comments about the last Dhaba G2G and that aint good ones in some perspective.
