In those two days at Jaisalmer, do make it a point to go to Sam desert (<40KMs) and spend the night there. That is one experience you shouldnt miss. Also Udaipur is a touristy place... two nights here is a overkill IMO. If I were you, I would leave Udaipur by noon.Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

We will reach Udaipur late so we will start sight seeing the next day and I understand they are more of tourists spots. Here's what I have listed as to be seen places.Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostIn those two days at Jaisalmer, do make it a point to go to Sam desert (<40KMs) and spend the night there. If anybody is interested kindly PM me or mail me at [email protected].
The price will be cheaper than the real price.

+1. I'm not moving anywhere, but everyone knows why I'm selling mine. Note:This is a replacement I'm getting, not the one that seized :P
PS: I have yet to receive my replacement. Satyen will most probably receive it. As and when I get it, I will post here, I will give the unopened box to whoever is interested (you may also contact Satyen directly). Cheers.
Edit: You can contact me on [email protected] or on FB.
PPS: Don't add me to chat, I never come online. Mailing is fair game however. ;-)
ReEdit: I also have the ECU from race dynamics if anyone is interested. That I have right now.Last edited by alankarmisra; 02-01-2012, 01:48 AM.

I'm planning a ride to Aurangabad with a few friends and intend to visit all the places as mentioned on 'Wikitravel'. Namely Ajanta Caves, Ellora Caves, Daulatabad fort, Bibi ka Maqbara, Panchakki, Aurangabad Caves, Soneri Mahal, Chatrapati Shivaji Museum, Lonar and Siddharth Garden. The plan is for 3 days including travel.
I have never been there and need your suggestions in planning the trip. I want to know What is the best route that we can take and which places are worth visiting and in which order to save time. You start the game with a full pot o' luck and an empty pot o' experience... The object is to fill the pot of experience before you empty the pot of luck.

I did a similar trip back in Nov'10. I had planned to see Ajanta & Lonar in 3 days but then ended up seeing Ellora + Aurangabad + Dulatabad Fort alsoOriginally posted by Jdsouza81 View PostI'm planning a ride to Aurangabad with a few friends and intend to visit all the places as mentioned on 'Wikitravel'. Do not waste time seeing Panch Chakki & Aurangabad caves as it's not worth it rather spend more time in Ellora caves which is brilliant. Also if time permits, Dualatabad fort is beautiful too.
Day 1 - Thane to Ajanta - 437 kms + Ajanta caves + Sight Seeing + Stay [Via NH3 & NH6]
Day 2 - Ajanta to Lonar - 158 kms + Lonar Crater Lake + Sight Seeing + Stay [ via SH178 & SH176]
Day 3 - Lonar - Aurangabad - Dulatabad Fort - Ellora Caves - Thane - Approx 520kms - Return journey [Ask for Nagar Highway as it is too good to ride however little more in kms]
Ensure you start early on Day 1 to avoid traffic in Nashik as there is fly over bridge work happening.
Dont forget to turn towards Buldana - Chikli when you start to ride from Ajanta to Lonar. Road is bad for a stretch of 10 kms but then becomes awesome to ride.
At Lonar, dont waste time searching for hotels as there are only 2 hotels. Stay in MTDC and pay not more than Rs.800 there.

Cant the thane-pune-nagar-aurangabad route be taken on day 1? seems to be same distance (just 3 kms more)... also the road condition is pretty good.Originally posted by Sachinnair View PostEnsure you start early on Day 1 to avoid traffic in Nashik as there is fly over bridge work happening.
