The "Safety gear" things wont be concluded in this g2g. Infact NV has fundamentally agreed in changing the mandate in Pune as well, but more on that later.... Its a seperate agenda.

@Gopi: I have no plans now, seems like I need to take Varsha to Pune on Sunday, and if thats the case, I can meet up for a friday overnight thing or a saturday ride to Kasara or something...

Which also means, I would be riding with you all for the mega g2g thing, but I'd be proceeding to Alandi (and drop my wife there) and then come back!

That first post you see here is also written NV and me after due deliberation with all members, so don’t worry on the safety aspect.... You have gear, do wear them for the ride.

And just for records: What is actually the safe riding gear
- A good helmet (Preferably full face helmet) that fits snug and has a D clip and has a proven crash test certification. Even Visors have safety standards
- A non-abrasive jacket with protective armor on elbows, shoulders, chest and back preferably leather AND NOT mesh
- Full gauntlet gloves: Leather with Kevlar or carbon fiber knuckle protectors
- Riding pants which has protection at your hip and knees preferably leather or other non-abrasive reinforced textile
- A riding shoe that locks your ankle movements and has padding at heals

If we enforce the genuine safe standards then I guess only DK qualifies in the entire Mumbai chapter :P


And for those who love cornering on streets like they do on MotoGp. Shall I suggest the riding gear to be of the same level :P
