Why are you guys going to Shirdi via Nasik? Isn't there a shorter way via Ghoti? Taking the road towards Bhandardara from Ghoti but not taking the Bhandardara turn leads you straight to Sinnar! But I cannot be too sure about road conditions there.. But it is not Super-bad by any stretch of the imagination. Going via Nasik and running into all that "Flyover under construction Traffic Jams" Migt not be the smartest thing to do... (See I like discussing things more on xBHP!)

The road to Shirdi via Ghoti is severely f**ked up ... Got a taste of it during my recent ride to Dharna-Kudwa Dams. Please stay away from it and opt for Nasik route instead !

I have sprained my neck. So i am kinda tentative. Also, if i come, Satyen, i will join you from Malad,as i would come directly come from Work.

On second thoughts I think I would also like to join straight from work.... I mean whats the point of running around?

The Ghoti route is the one which is not used for walking.. People walk on the Nasik - Sinnar(Pune Highway) I know because of my last year's crash... and since it is weekend, Nasik Shirdi traffic is also much higher.. and besides.. the supposed "Fcuked up road" is just 50odd km.. nothing that the participating ZMAs / ZMRs and P220s can't handle.. And As rony Said.. It has dams around!!! NH3 and NH50 is so F'in boring

Just a suggestion.. an alternate route can be through NH222 (malshej ghat) but that will be longer I guess..

Pratheek, cant reach you man!
I think I will leave from office around 8ish, catch up with Alankar sometime and head for dinner somewhere by 10... at about 11ish we will leave for Nashik... slow and steady.
Then finally settle @Nashik, have a bath and wait for the rest to catch up.... (Chances of this is bleak as finding a place to settle is difficult, unless Antz bin does some cheap juggad )

Are you game for this? else I will have to sleep on the road and then come with the rest of the gang.

PS: The Malshej route is treacherous.. dont want to zombie ride there...
That reminds me even the ghoti route has instances of dacoits and all, Alankar please carry your weapons. I will carry the Bazooka. Thanks.

And I almost forgot.. Since you guys are going there on a Saturday, as the only way to get a Darshan Pass from the PRO office on a weekend is by getting a recommendation from a Trustee / Local MLA or prove that you just came to India and are a foreign national. If you guys opt for the queue (which will take anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours for darshan), and don't wish to spend on a room just to dump gear and bags.. you can get cloak room facility at Bhakt Niwas a couple of km down the road (towards Ahmednagar). Helmets, cellphones, cameras won't be allowed.. so don't bother trying to smuggle it in.
