Oxymoron : Certainly not !

If you think so then surely you have not got the idea behind it. The ride is all about testing their endurance for much longer and exhausting rides. 300km a day is certainly not a very long distance that too when the roads are butter smooth (except for shahapur stretch). And this ride is for making them feel what a long ride is all about. I still remember how mithun (a newbie who joined for dudhani ride) was out of his senses by the time we were returning from dudhani. He was not at all used to long rides, I guess. So this ride is for such people who want to test themselves and experience long ride. This will help them participate in many other long rides (especially the 2 day rides).

Please do not confuse this ride with Newbie Introduction G2G. Here the focus is more on developing riding skills for long road trips rather than knowing newbies which certainly as you suggested can be done by conducting local Dhaba G2G for which any weekend evening would do.

Regarding usage of FB, remember that FB RSVPs are just to compliment the rides discussed here. They are by no means replacement to this thread. FB RSVP is more organised and the message passing is much more easier and user friendly. Also these days xBhp is experiencing unprecedented down times, so in absence of it we can use FB RSVP as a backup where the same information would be shared as here. So please do not create false perception regarding FB and other social networking sites which by no means could replace this forum.

I guess you have not understood the motive of the proposed ride either. Again I would like to clarify, this ride is not Newbie Introduction G2G. This ride is to allow newbies to develop/test their long riding skills and also experience group riding.

as you said that one of the riders was out of his mind on ur way back from dudhani, what if someone gets exausted while coming back and feels like he cant ride any more..
what if he sleeps while riding,
dont take a risk Rony..
better make it a small ride limiting it to around 150km a day..

Yea I did think on that ! .... In case if some rider feels exhausted, we can wait till he gets comfortable and is ready to ride again .... we have ample of time for that ... all this was kept in mind while planning the itinerary ... I have made all the pit stops a bit longer to allow the riders to rest !

All of this would be briefed at the starting of the ride ... No rider would be forced to ride if he feels uncomfortable .... he just has to get his bike to the side and get down ... we all will wait for him to get comfortable and ready for riding !

And truly speaking keeping a ride of 100 or 150km makes no sense if one has to experience the long ride stress ... only after 200 or 250km people will experience that .... so the motive of this ride is to feel that very stress and exhaustion which they would feel while riding much longer rides ... and since this would be in a much more controlled and accommodating environment it would be easier for them to get over it !

Also in worst case we can always cut short the ride !

Regarding risk, its something which if not taken then we will never move forward but this 1 is not that big a risk !

Hahah ...Knowing their skills without testing ?? .... this ride is for that .... regarding "nurse my/someones wounds g2g "....That would be the case if we dont follow group riding protocol and rip at high speeds .... both of these would be avoided .... we would be simply sticking to middle or left lane and ride at around 80kmph .... And frankly speaking, people coming for this ride would surely make their mind to ride 300km a day and join it ... regarding it being SBKers heaven, be it so ... we are not interfering with them ... will keep safe distance !
