My first real ride was on RX & that was in rain & there were 3 illegal things & 2 horror!!! Since, illegal things cannot be disclosed here, I'll let you know the horror - I was riding my eyes closed most of the time as the rain drops were piercing my eyes & I wasn't wearing a helmet

Trust me, that was a good learning experience & every year I'm blessed with a dripping wet ride from rain God. So riding in rain hardly makes a difference to me as I experienced this 2 weeks back on our return leg from Vallakottai.

Ram - Did you get the gloves?

Hoping that the rain in showing its face, as the sun.
May be the like the trip to Vallakotai. (NO RAIN & NO SUN).

Dude, i ordered the DSG moto mesh gloves. it costs me 1045 bux along with the courier charge. I gave the shipping address of Raghav's residential address as the First flight couriers doesn't have branch at kpm. Just before, got a confirmation call from DSG people that the package would be delivered tomorrow. I'll get my hands inside the gloves on saturday from Raghav

Well for me the riding in the rain is the only concern. I had another experience sunday night and it was literally very difficult for me. Will need some more experience to get along in that.
I guess i would be cancelling for the Tee as well.

... I'm worried about riding in the rains.. Besides traction, I'm worried about the visibility factor. I'll have to try Aargee Diesel trick but worried if it would soften up the plastic. I'll give it a shot though..

Night riding in rains is difficult for everyone. But if you have trouble with riding in rains during daytime also then I'd suggest you stick to your decision.

The amount of night riding will be minimal and totally dependent on how late the guys start post lunch.

Diesel softening the plastics

Whoa!!! Never heard anything of that sort & for traction I don't know what to say!!! You've just clocked around 4K isn't it? Mine is 12K+ & still the traction is good. If you're so skeptical about rains, you can drive my car.

Dude, just stop worrying on rains; there're bigger things in life than riding in rain. Just ride in the group & learn to be fine.

Nothing tricky; its a age old technique used in old Ambassador when the wiper conks; wiping the glass with diesel dipped cloth so that water isn't sticky on the glass.

Wont that dirt sticks more easily to the visor? Especially in rains there is a lot of dirt thrown off from the tyres of other vehicles around you.

Well, in an intense rain & on a tarmac this WILL NOT happen; but yes, once the rain is over, you need to wash it thoroughly ASAP to remove the diesel film otherwise the said would happen.
