The Official Chennai Offline Meet(G2G) Thread

As always Ace_Hunter Chickened out last minute! He promised a lot of expecting souls including me that he will ride his Disco on track. I canceled a family G2G and went to the track and that guy says his mom caught him and he cant come. BUT the good news was his mom has grounded him from all the G2G and so aparjit, anant all are celebrating like me .

with all this joy, people have forgotten that now, the less he meets offline, the more he will online!

^^ How about a GTG to celebrate this??

EDIT: We would be missing to see a new FireBlade or the RTR Fi (or a Yellow R15)

Well, It wasn't your R15 that i was speaking about. Our own Mr.Hunter was looking forward to buy either a Yellow R15 or a RTR Fi and hence said we will be missing it

I'm putting my weekend trip to tentative mode as My bike got screwed up today after the so called free service. The rpm idles anywhere between 0.5 to 3k RPM., and the Neutral light shows up even after engaging the first gear! Wonder what service they did to my bike! So hopefully will get to ride next weekend!

Praveen., few weeks ago there were some 16 landslides because of the heavy rains and the flood water had washed away many roads..


As per the last update from my friends, Roads are still flooded and it will take a few months to get the roads back to normal shape.

If any one of you want to know anything about places in kerala let me know , i am glad to share what i know ,..

Ananth , it is raining in kerala now so it will be better if u can post pond the trip to september or late august (that wil be the best time to visit kerala)

and regarding the thenmala bridge i been there atleast 5 times , to be frank its not worth your travel to thenmala (from munnar it is too faar away ). so better dont club it with your kerala trip but i can tell you many places near munnar/thekkady that you will really enjoy ..Believe me bro if you can spend three days in Idukki District that will be one of the best days of your biking/trekking/touring . you will love it ... Let me know if you want any details

Thanks for your inputs.. The trip not yet cancelled.. Its going to be a Solo trip.. It all depends on my Bike's condition day after tomorrow..! If i feel its good, I wouldnt mind doing visiting Kerala in Rains

i have sent you the reply but i just want everybody to know this in case they have any plans to kerala
.. The roads are now almost clear (at least main roads) Only interior roads have problem but for bikes 99% percentage of the road will be clear by this time (only heavy vehicles got problem ) ..

But its still raining there (even though the strength is getting reduced day by day ) , SO if you dont mind riding in rain carry on ..

The moral of the story is : Roads are clear now , you can carry on with the trip But if you want to visit kerala(idukki and munnar) in best time go just after the rain

Note: If you are going just after the rain try to visit Athirappalli -vazhachal waterfalls (in trissur district ) it will be awsome (better cancell your thenmala plan and go to this place if you have time)
