The homestay is located in Gonikoppal which is 560 kms one way from Chennai.

I will confirm early next week. Alok and Reggie confirmed, and me of course.

Alok will be reporting for Army duty in Chennai from Apr 7th so we are planning to do a farewell ride for him Will confirm availability with the homestay once i get confirmed numbers.

P.S. The roads are great so it wont take a lot of time to cover the distance.

The Nest is located in Gonikoppal. We are planning for at least one overnight stay if not two. Tourist spots are around 35 kms away. Not very far considering Coorg is not a big city

This place is away from all the hustle and bustle and is very serene and quiet. Trust me, I've been there and done nothing all day, just lazed around all day, did not even watch TV and i was so rejuvenated at the end of my 2day holiday.

I've been to Coorg & was staying at Hoskeri village, so I know how big/small it is I was only concerned on the distance from Madikeri as most of the places the signal of mobiles don't work & the home stay food. But from the pics, "NEST" seems to be a good one & hope they're on the upscale tariff.

But from the pics, "NEST" seems to be a good one & hope they're on the upscale tariff.

The homestay is managed directly by the owners. The owners stay at the property so everything is managed to perfection. I have stayed here and have referred many of my relatives. A lot of my office folks have stayed here too and each time the service and feedback has been impeccable on all counts. The food is cooked by the lady of the house and its excellent. Dont worry about sapad man.

Mobiles would work but i wont guarantee it. Signal reception is available in some pockets.

Tariff (last time i checked) - 3k per couple inclusive of all meals and evening tea/coffee and snacks. totally worth it for the experience and highly recommended.

BTW are you in for this ride? The earlier i get confirmed numbers the better as they have only four rooms which can accommodate one extra bed in each room (8+4 people in all).

RG, we are not going to ride WOT all the time. Moreover i prefer to cruise at 120 or 130kmph. Only on rare occassions do i exceed this speed. Do join us if you can, i'll rope in more people from blore who can give you company if needed.

Cool. Now you're talking. If we stay over for 2 nights we can do some sightseeing and visit nearby places as mentioned. How far is nagarhole from gonikoppal? I doubt if we can wayanad too. Open for discussion though.

So now that the balls are rolling () please check with the others in the chennai group and let me now the confirmed numbers. We need to book the place as its full most of the time on weekends.
