Assuming that we would be allowed only to check in the rooms alloted for us in munnar on 11th night by hotel guys, I guess we may land up in munnar early afternoon itself, if we start early from trichy on 11th. Would we be roaming on the streets of Munnar till its get dark & till the rooms getting ready for check in?? Its better to know whether the rooms for us in Munnar are booked from 11th morning itself or from 11the nite??

I would think the resort guys at Munnar would not just refuse to let us in on first place. To my understanding the entire placed is booked for 11th and 12th. To answer your question, I would think KL/CBE guys must be the first to reach when compared to BLR/CHN riders. In that case, it would be around afternoon the clock starts ticking at the resort. I might be wrong too.

Tarun, What's ur itinerary? Reach munnar directly on 11th nite or join with us from trichy? I think its not possible to join with us as we might start early on day2.

I too feel starting early from Trichy make lot of sense. If its 300 km ride and 3 hours up hill (higher side with total time), we might reach Munnar by 3 pm to 4
pm max and then time is ours.
@Sriram : I tried checking the route on google map and total distance is coming around 580 km(+/- 20 kms), can you check the exact route and put it here as a link (for a quick references) as I'm not sure if the route which I am seeing the one which you are seeing

Also, is anything crystalised for the weekend G2G ? Is the villupuram is final destination ???

I think we have the place from noon of the 11th. In any case, I'm certain we will not need to "roam around"!

Its a word coined by Sriram! It refers to the first group to leave on 10th in the morning, consisting of the 250cc's. If you want to leave on 11th and return on 13th, you will be riding in group 3 which as of now consists of;

Route: Trichy-Dindugal-Theni - NH45

Who are all IN for coming Sunday ride?




Agenda for the weekend meeting:

1. Briefing the group on the ride plans.
2. Discussion on Trichy stay enroute to Munnar
3. Group ride formation / signals and position
4. Return journey
5. Check on Riding gears and vehicle documents.
6. Distribution of t-shirts. (collect now else after Munnar ride)

The costing has been worked out and I have already posted on the forum and it is arrived at Rs. 1400/person stay + food at Munnar.

We have already booked the accommodation at Munnar so if you are in, kindly hand over the cash to me. Note: With lot of planning taking place in the background, it is very hard to keep track of people participants.

The best way is to confirm your participation by handing over the cash.

The options are:

1. Either you may hand over the cash in person
or
2. PM me for Bank details so that you can transfer over internet.

bro.. normally check-in/check-out time is 12noon at these places (atleast AFAIK).
We'll have the rooms from friday noon - sunday noon, ie 2 days. They should not object to us checking-in anytime after noon...
