The Official Chennai Offline Meet(G2G) Thread

Hi Guys, I coming to Chennai for CSS tomorrow and I need some information.

1. What are the possible means of transport from the Chennai airport to the track?
2. How far is the track from the airport?
3. I should be landing by 3:30 PM..how much time would it take for that distance considering that I would start off immediately?
4. Should I book some taxi service OR are there options available at the airport?

Would appreciate any information on this! thanks!

3. If the route is via meenambakkam-tambaram-byepass road-NH4(Bangalore highway) which is faster/longer/better roads wuld take 90 mins approx. If its via Porur-Poonamalle-NH4 which is shorter/not so good road will take 2 hrs approx. 3.30 PM is not so peak hour so you should be reaching faster than estimated.
4.Friends call taxi - 24732020. Its always better to book call-taxi atleast by 30 mins advanced.

MMST is located at Irungattukotai on NH4(Bangalore Highway) near Hyundai motors.

The track is around 20kms from the airport and on the Chennai Blore highway. Best to take a call taxi or a cab to the track. It would take at least an hour to reach the highway from the airport and from there another 30-45 mins to get to the track. Account for 2hrs at the least considering you might hit traffic enroute in the city.

You can avail cab services like Easy Call taxi or Fast Track radio taxi etc. Bargain on the fare if they refuse to ply using the fare meter.

I have numbers for fast track and one more (forgot the name)...any more/better options?

• Car cleaned by myself , saved 300 bucks for the trip - Check
• Packed the bag - Check
• Got confirmation from all the fellow travellers - Check
• Informed all the closed friends to make them feel jealous - Check

Its all set, will be starting to Hampi tomorrow morning. Biggest task is to pick every one from their house but as morning 4:30 AM will be giving just enough room on the road to vrooom around and pick up the people in no time. Will be leaving Chennai border by 5:30 by Max.
