Where to buy road maps in Chennai

Hi everyone,

I'm planning a trip around South India and want to find the best road maps for both in and between cities (e.g. at least medium-scale between cities so I can see local roads; I don't want to just zip around on highways). I am going to find some GPS maps as well, but I want some physical maps.

Someone recommended I visit AASI on Mount Rd here. Someone else mentioned the Landmark bookstore chain. I have already been to Crosswords and they didn't have anything good.

Any suggestions or experience with the state of road maps in India?

Planning to organize pre-ride on 14th October for ISG2G Participants. I really don't want to keep the ride date close to end of the month. Having said that, it would also give time for the participants to get their bike serviced and other essentials done.

Need some suggestions with regards to destination for pre-ride:-
Yelagiri
Javadi Hills
Any other?

Mostly I depend on locals to check on good routes, this map had helped me a couple of times, and its easy to follow.

Happened to me from morning; can't open page 529 (528 & earlier are fine) only with Chrome
