The Official Chennai Offline Meet(G2G) Thread

Guys, I'm planning in for a three day trip next weekend (July 3,4,5) to Coorg.

Distance: ~ 600 Kilometers One way.

Route: Chennai - Bangalore - Mysore - Coorg

Now, is it possible to do the trip in 3 days? 2 days for up and down, One day at Coorg for sight seeing. Or should i have one more day to do it with ease?

Need your inputs / suggestions...

hi ananth, all the best for the trip, you wont find much difficulties on the route part, most of the junctions are well marked esp near bangalore for the mysore bypass, just before mysore towards madikeri etc. roads are wonderfull till kushalnagar which is about 30kms before coorg. after that the ghat roads are a bit cratered tho curvy enuff to have fun on bikes. wen i visited coorg it was summer and i was really taken aback to find there arent many green places to visit or photograph, atleast i did not do enuff home work on the places to visit part, so make sure u mark each place and visit it since u are on a tight 3 day schedule. it is about 600odd kms from here so start as early as possible. and pray to god it rains, becos coorg looks best only wen it rains.

Thanks for the inputs Badri. I have already printed out the places to visit and places to avoid in coorg And spoke to a few who are put up in Coorg through Orkut, and they claim that the rains have already started

If its a solo, then why don you plan it for the 18th.

I will be starting on 17 afternoon and stay in Bangalore that night. Hence 2 full days in Karnataka..

Doing it in a group(of decent number) will be fun and thrill aina..?

Anyway, Have great fun, Don't forget to post the pics. Ride safe.

Well, 18 n 19? 2 days ain't enough to cover up Coorg pal! Anyway thanks for asking, i have other plans for that weekend and wont be able to join in.

I have other plans for now, If @ all i ride solo, it is going to be a 5 day ride and the tentative route map is this
