Sai, I lost my dearer Panasonic FZ28. The One with 10MP + 18x Zoom
Upgrading to a SLR would take its own sweet time, unless someone gifts that me
And glad you are back in action, would be happy to meet up in a GTG!

Coorg is raining. Raining Non-stop. I dont think this is the best time to Visit Coorg. Not all the tourist places are open, and you could hardly open up your camera.Originally posted by cbz xtreme View PostAnanth..

Having said that, the climate is awesome. As cold as it could. after drenching in rain, you would hardly get to sleep and the cold nights would make it more difficult to sleep.
About roads,
Chennai - Bangalore: Around 350 Kilometers, Awesome, could cover up in 5 - 5 1/2 hours
Bangalore - Mysore; Around 120 Kilometers, Awesome, could cover up in 2 Hours.
Mysore - Bylakuppae; Around 120 Kilometers, awesome roads, 2 lanes but scenic, look out for the cattle / slow two wheelers. could cover up in 2 hours max.
Bylakuppae - Madikeri; around 30 kilometers, pathetic roads, would take upto 1 hour (if it rains). Be careful while passing thorugh the muddy patch at regular intervals. Stop for the busses / cars / jeeps / lorrys to pass through, else they would splay the mud on you and pass asthough nothing happened!
Skip the Hirangi Dam and the Madikeri Fort, nothing much to see there.
Sure, I'm Game!Originally posted by saicheeco View PostWHAT? u shudnt have said that, now i myself feeling sad man! to forget this grief we should have a short trip and a G2G, in the name of FZ28

Thanks for the details Ananth. Because of the incessant rain's we have planned to ride till the Tibetan monasteryOriginally posted by Ananth View PostCoorg is raining. Raining Non-stop. Just one question. Why Coorg then?Originally posted by cbz xtreme View PostThanks for the details Ananth. Because of the incessant rain's we have planned to ride till the Tibetan monastery

I would say its useless just to visit the Tibetian Monastry and come back. The rains have come down in the last 2 days. Rains were at 96mm / 112mm when i visited Madikeri and now it is 36mm for the last 24 hours. I would say, take a bet and visit Madikeri.. Stay up near Raja's seat / KSRTC Bus stand. The last 30 kilometers from Bylakuppae to Madikeri would be irritating, but just enjoy the scenic route (not the roads though!)
If you just want to ride, take up Bandipur / Ooty route - it will be definitely worth it. Else, Coorg is an awesome place. Look out for the odd pothole's en route to the Monastry.. be extra careful if its raining, as roads are not that good but still is ridable. And monastry would take atmost an hour or so to cover up. I assume you would start from Bangalore by early morning, you could reach the Monastry by noon, have Coorgi Pork for lunch and head to Abby falls by evening!!
If you need further help PM me. Good Luck!!Photo Gallery[/B]
