Ya I'm looking for a short Saturday trip. Start out early Saturday morning and come back by/before lunch.
Regarding the destination...I've done Sangam,Muthatti,Shivanasamudram AND Devarayanadurga. Been to Savandurga twice (by bus
)
This Kanva reservoir is looking interesting. Though I don't mind Savandurga either.
Would you be interested in either? If so, PM me. Let's fix this up!200 | 300 | 1200 BOXER

Where to meet?Yes yes yes! there r lots of conditions. First and foremost, collect the application forms from Akhil and submit it with 10 passport sized photographs and an attested copy of your RC book. Get an endorsement from the local RTO as well.Originally posted by prafultripathy View Post@Prajwal: Do you still have some joining forms left?
I have run out of joining forms, but u can collect them from Akhil: aka Rossiter.
Type of helmet would depend on the type of protection you want and the type of head you have. The less protection you want and the less of a head you have, then the less you need to invest. So be wise in investing on this.
In spite of the hurdles we place in front of you, we are generally nice people. We welcome newbie riders with open arms and we like to throw away bad people out of the group in order to maintain the "niceness" among us. So you are sure to feel the "niceness" and "homeliness" right in the beginning. The mods make sure u feel "extra" special EVERY time! They are especially trained to do this. So make sure you meet them at least once in order to get that "extra" feeling.
Cheerio!

Teeny-weeny trip to Kanva/Savandurga/surroundings...
This happened at the last moment...had no plans but just went for the heck of it. No need for a separate thread for this.
Three guys: me, TheGeneBoy and DJ_666. A nice small ride.

Short but sweet ride.
Rains kept the trip feasibility fluctuating. Luckily our minds weren't !
I somehow had this feeling before we met up that my co-riders would be riding Pulsars and I felt it right !
Took the Kanakapura Road - NICE Road -Mysore road - Kanva route. (My) poor headlamp + light drizzles kept speeds low. (Poor Tanay's hands were numb !_)Hung around the reservoir with the usual biker banter until Tanay shocked me with the truth about his silent bike acquisition without his parents knowledge and his plans to buy a higher capacity bike the same way!
Eugene too was a good ride-companion.
Since we had time to spare, we proceeded to Savandurga stopping briefly couple of times. The roads were a mixed bag but I had a good time on well laid tarmac. I caught the 'get-your-knee-down' fever after I hit the track couple of months back and it still shows symptoms when exposed to smooth roads !
Stopped by at Savandurga but skipped the trek as it was getting warm and we had cold weather gear on !
Caught a bite at an eatout on Kanakapura Road and parted ways.
Eugene, waiting for the rest of the snaps.
(PS : @ Tanay : did you get your chain tightened ?
)

Trip was nice, heck, any trip taking you out to the open country is nice.
And I've gotten used to the cold actually, my hands don't go numb too soon. I'm still hunting for some nice gloves.
About the parents-not-knowing bit, I hope to God they never stumble across xbhp. It would be a sad way to die...
The other 2 guys were all for leaning and bending but I was on permanent uncle mode with no leaning/slow speeds etc etc. Reason being I'm going to Kerala today so did not want to take risks.
For the remaining pics pls bug TheGeneBoy. The pics that I posted are also from his cam.
I'll be back next week and then, perhaps another ride.200 | 300 | 1200 BOXER

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.
