@mav1234: Thanks. I know. Ive been through the thread.
I was of the same opinion as srisetty. We are going for a bit of fun. No problem if it takes a little longer in the view of safety.
@ gs150r: Likewise. would be nice meeting another GS owner.
the rtr 180 itself is more than match for us, leave aside the kawa.
@nisnth: Thanks for the relaxed rules man. I'll come with the minimum gear.......for the rest, I'll adjust with a prayer.

Sunday Savandurga Ride
Guys here's the final plan for Sunday Savandurga Ride !
We would meet in front of Star Bazaar @ Rajkumar Road (Point B in the map) at 5:30 AM. Then we would proceed towards Magadi road. Guys who cant make it to Point B and want to catch up on the way, please specify where you would be waiting! We would be having breakfast @ any decent restaurant we spot on the way and should reach Savandurga by 8:30 AM. The trek (ascent & descent) should take 3-3.5 hrs i.e if we have the stamina to climb all the way to the peak. Once we're back at the base (at about 12 PM), start the return journey through Mysore Road. We can find Manchanabele Dam and Big Banyan Tree on the way and would visit them if time permits and head back to Bangalore.
Helmets, Jackets (preferably thick ones) and Shoes (with a good grip) are compulsory.
Stuff to Carry:
1. Bike Tool Kit
2. Water (As many liters as u can)
3. Basic First Aid
4. Biscuits, chocs, chips etc
5. A Cap
