Hey Guys, I'm in a weekend mood already !!
I'm planning for a ride to Savanadurga which is around 65 kms from here, along with a friend (2 RTR 180s) on Saturday. I'm thinking of reaching the place through Magadi Road (A friend of mine said the route has lots of twisties) and return through the Mysore road route after visiting Manchanabele dam and Big Banyan Tree.

Companions for the trip as well as suggestions/additions for the route are most welcome !!

So its 4 riders for now: n_aditya , life@speed , gs150r & me. Meeting places are yet to be decided. Anyone else game for this ?

Hey man, Id love to join if theres no reservations about compulsory riding gears.

Riding Gears are absolutely compulsory in any G2G here, without which I doubt you will be allowed to ride.

The Riding Gears include:
1. Helmet ( probably DOT, ISI etc etc certified)
2. Armored Jacket
3. Gloves
4. Kneepad
5. Shoes

Please invest in good riding gears( if not, till now) before commencing any ride..( Its just a humble advice from XBHP family )

Agree to what you say, but i feel not everyone would be able to afford a Armoured Jacket and Knee pads. I feel even they should be given an opportunity to be a part of xbhp rides ! Just my opinion.

Thanks for the clarification ! Atleast helmets and shoes would obviously be there or else the person is not fit to be called a XBHPian !

I personally dont have any issues if people doesn't have riding gears at all... Its just for the safety and nothing else.

Yup... That thread/link was among the first ones I read on XBHP. Infact, i bought a pair of DSG gloves just yesterday ! Safety First, anytime !

Gloves and Jackets & armors are not compulsory, but recommended.

Normal Jackets and full trousers is compulsory. Shorts exposing the skin should not be allowed. Similarly, decent jackets are a must. The optionals are the expensive riding jackets which come with guards or riding boots. I would recommend to always have multiple riding groups based on speed (unless there are just 2-3 riders ).

Example:

• The slow group (80-100) could have riders with all combinations of riding gears. Minimum is: Full Face Helmet, Full length Trouser & Jacket (thicker the better), Shoes.
• The fast group (100-120) should always be bit more equipped. Minimum is above + Riding Gloves (not exposing the fingers ) and Better Jacket.
• Superfast group (120+), where all riding gears are mandatory. Additional minimum: Riding boots, Armored Jackets, Knee Guards or riding pants.

The above is just a guideline and wrong can happen at any speeds. So, suggest riders to get your gear whenever you have money.
