Hi everyone,

I'm new to Bangalore and planning to head over to Nandi Hills for a short ride over the weekend.. Any indication on the condition of roads? Would be travelling from Electronic City.

Right upto the airport toll booth its pretty much the same bangalore city ride experience, watch out for the interceptors and those cameras near the airforce base.

After the airport toll booth the roads are really good, just watch out for the strays that just randomly cross the road. Once you take a left after devanhalli the roads are good just watch out for the occasional pothole and speed breakers.

Try and catch the sunrise from top of the hill. Its a true delight however on a weekend expect a lot of people there.

Got caught by these stupid interceptors today for doing 8kmph over speed limit. 300 bucks fine..

Hard luck. I was caught once doing 65 kmph there. Sadly the speed limit for bikes on the airport road (this was anyways 2 kms from Nandi foothills and 25km from airport) is 55 kmph and near Nandi where these friggin' cops stand is 50 kmph.

This is india man, no boards. Just keep an eye out for these vehicles. I was doing 58kmph according to the speed gun.


The speed gun took a cool snap of me. I asked the police guy if I can have it, he refused.

Here is the 3rd xbhp Bangalore ride details and yes a longer one this time.

Ride date: 27st Oct(Sunday)
Ride destination: Bhadra Coffee Shop, Balehonnur, Chikmagalur-Sringeri Road, Karnataka
Meeting point A: Yeshwantpur Junction(4:15am)
Meeting Point B: Nelamangala Junction(4:40am)
Start time: 4:45am

Since this is a longer ride, so there will be only one stoppage at Shettihalli only(10 min water break).

Mandatory things: All necessary Docs like DL, RC Card, Insurance papers and Emission Control Card.
Basic Riding gears including Helmet, Armoured Jacket, Gloves, Knee guards and Elbow Guards. Same applicable for pillions also.
Please be on time.
Also please Fill up the tank a day before, before going to sleep.

+1 for this thought but bit skeptical about everyone others who are joining.
Anyways to meet at Yeshwantpur Junction one has to be early.
Lets see and I am in favour of being more earlier, lets shift everything around an hour earlier. Waiting for others response.
