Indra bhai, please don't quote the whole post for a one line reply. Makes browsing on 2G powered smartphones a little painful.Originally posted by Indrathirth View Post

Re: The Official Bangalore Offline Meet (G2G) Thread
Hey guys,
Pretty sad to post this..
As some of you might know, my friend crashed my bike head on onto a Santro. The entire front end got messed up. Now, after replacing all the parts, there is huge amount of rattling and noise coming from the fairing. The headlight flickers at high RPM when rattling is also high and the handle bar vibrates and jars under hard braking. The speedo which was completely fine when I gave it for service now shows wrong RPM reading. Pl let me know what to do.
I gave it to this useless khivraj service centre at Kasturba road, bangalore who charged me 20k for the repairs but couldnt restore my baby back. The bike was butter smooth before with mild fairing vibrations, now it just rattles. Also there is almost one inch gap on either side of the fairing (the gap between tank and fairing under pulsar logo). I have taken it back to them but they refuse to do anything saying I accepted the bike after service, how the hell am i suppose to do 100kmph in bangalore traffic to find out these issues?!
Should I escalate to bajaj customer support or does anyone know anyone in Khivraj who can help me? The service manager, Anil, is very rude and is not taking note of my problems.
Thanks in advance for your support.Regardless, Life shall go on.

Re: ss1000 and possibly bun burner1500
Approved and merged!Originally posted by cheran4200 View Posthey guys..i am planning to attempt the ss1000 and if possible the bun burner1500 in august on my fz. i was wondering if someone else wants to do the same and if possible get some sponser as it will cost quite a lot....
plz advice....
Before you attempt either, have a couple of practice runs to see if you and your machine are actually ready for it. Doing it on the same route as the SS/BB attempt will give you an idea of petrol pumps and road conditions too.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Re: ss1000 and possibly bun burner1500
@Divya yup i need advice from all....I have already done a practice run of ss1000...my bike can take it with few changes that i have chalked out.
I have finalized two routes.
1. https://www.google.co.in/maps/ms?msi...00397,24.98291
2. https://www.google.co.in/maps/ms?msi...14158,24.98291
The following are the things i have to do before i can attempt it....
1. Rear tire change. (its almost 33k kms old and i doubt it can take the stress of another 2400 kms non stop....)
2. Full service of the bike plus two litres of oil for change after 1600kms of distance and another after completing.
3. Purchase of a riding jacket.
4. Witness for the beginning, the completion of ss1000 and bb1500.
5. A mechanic at the completion of ss1000 for changing my oil and a quick check of my bike.
6. Friends especially xbhp members at crucial points for support as well as for restocking (i think i am asking too much).
7. I am planning to travel very light so i am keeping my luggage to the minimum which is why i need support.
8. total budget an astounding 20k.... I need help ;(;(
I am thinking of doing it on 6/7 September. will give me two months to prepare.
If i successfully complete this then i guess it would be first air cooled 150cc bike bb2400 attempt if i am correct....
I am also looking for other riders who want to attempt the same but have no qualms adjusting to my bike limits. But no pillion rider please for your own sake. the pillion will kill you before 500 kms...Last edited by cheran4200; 06-23-2014, 09:54 AM.
