Triumph Motorcycles has introduced a range of 900cc variants – Triumph T100 Bonneville and T100 Black offering a much more classic old school design.
Powered by a 900cc engine, T100s work on the basis of ‘high torque’, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine which churns out 54bhp of maximum power and 80Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 5-speed transmission.
The new variants are lighter than the T120s and also have a shorter wheelbase, rake and trail. This is complimented with a low seat and relaxed riding position.
T100s come fitted with Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp tyres which, have been designed especially for the new Bonneville family, incorporating stiffness and profile changes to the front tyre, and deeper tread on the rear.
Both the T100 models have the new chassis and suspension set-up which is claimed to enhance comfort, giving a better overall riding experience whether for long distance journeys, in everyday use or when carrying a pillion.
The sculpted lines of the 14.5-litre tank to the engine detailing and stylish feature-packed clocks, gives the new T100 duo set a new standard for quality, finish and technology in the class.
Having a similar platform as the Street Twin, the new models offer Ride-by-Wire throttles, ABS, switchable traction control, the firm’s Torque Assist Clutch for a lighter lever action, a Thatcham approved immobiliser and a handy USB charging socket.
