As the third day of WorldSBK testing ended at Jerez, Double World Superbike Champion, Jonathan Rea ended topped the timesheets beating men on the MotoGP machinery.
Rea finished his best lap of 1’39.739, only a tenth shy of Hector Barbera riding on the Avintia Ducati and recorded almost a second faster than his Kawasaki team mate Tom Sykes who finished at 1’40.611.

Rea was faster than Loris Baz, Alvaro Bautista, Scott Redding, Aleix Espargaro and Michele Pirro all on MotoGP machinery.
In between the two riders was Chaz Davies on his Aruba Ducati who has his best lap time of 1’40. 409. Alex Lowes set a 1’40. 985 whole the Dutch rider Micheal Van Der Mark ended up on a 1’41. 830.
Lorenzo Salvadori finished in fourth place on a 1’41.048 just ahead of Marco Melandri who also joined the testing today.

Eugene Laverty finished at 1’41.692 and was under two seconds off Rea’s pace.
