Wrangler has launched the Wrangler Moto Jacket, a jacket for this winter season. The jacket is made for the motorcycle enthusiast. And one can see that a lot of thought has gone into the design to make it ideal for a biker, like many other biker friendly products launched by them earlier; e.g., biker backpack and sunshield denim.
We used it and found it had many practical features for daily use. From the well thought out soft-cloth in the left pocket to clean your eyewear, to the self-cannibalisation feature meaning that the entire Wrangler Moto Jacket gets packed into a small pocket given at the back of the jacket itself – a pretty handy feature for bikers as this jacket turns into a very compact packet that can easily fit into your backpack or saddle bag. The jacket uses water-resistant fabric to take care of a drizzle or an accidental splash of water. There is an inside pocket with a waterproof zipper to keep important stuff like your wallet. There is another pocket for your phone or other multimedia devices with an outlet for the earphone cable. Another nifty pocket on the outside top also has a small clip on elastic to secure your keys, so that you never have to go looking for them again.
You also get ninja cuffs on this jacket, where your thumb goes through the cuff, ensuring that your wrist is always covered and the arms of the jacket remain in place. There is reflective tape as well both front and rear to enhance the safety quotient. There is a comfortable hood as well, that can be tucked into a collar pocket, useful to keep oneself snug. For those days, when it isn’t quite so cold, there are air-vents, which keep the rider well ventilated! But the best bit is that the jacket folds into it and occupies very little space, so that you can store it away in your backpack when not required.
Of course this jacket is not a substitute for a dedicated motorcycling jacket with protective armour, but a useful accessory to take care of a lot of your riding needs.
