Yamaha launched the Disc brake variant of their Cygnus Alpha scooter priced at INR 52,556 ex-showroom, Delhi. The scooter will be available at Yamaha dealerships from mid June’16 onwards in two new exciting colors – Radiant Cyan and Marvel Black.
Mr. Roy Kurian, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. said, “The scooter market has witnessed rapid growth in the last few years and Yamaha has been able to make steady inroad in this segment. Yamaha is looking at reaching a 10% market share by the end of this year and the introduction of this latest variant of the Cygnus Alpha scooter is expected to further propel its growth in the segment. This latest offering with disc brake is aimed at families who want that additional safety feature.”
With its concept of “Easy to go and high utility city mover” the scooter is targeted for the customers who are in search of a two-wheeler which will fulfill the needs of a family.
The attractive new graphics sport shades of Cyan and Black, with stylish calligraphy design brings out a fashionable urban look. This new variant is powered by a newly developed air-cooled 113 cc, four stroke single cylinder engine that delivers smooth start-up acceleration and pickup. It provides ample storage capacity (21 litres) and excellent riding comfort for single & tandem riding with a flat long seat and large foot space for both rider and pillion, making it a new age stylish family scooter.
