Yamaha Fazer 250 was spotted in Delhi by an xBhpian. When will Yamaha be launching this bike in India? The bike looks production ready in these photos, but the company has not indicated any date yet.
The fairing part of the bike resembles the Fazer bodywork and other parts of the bike look same as FZ25 which was launched recently with the price tag of Rs 1,19,500/-. We had ridden the Yamaha FZ25 in Goa earlier this year.
The base of the FZ25 will be perfect for a faired version of the same. The bike was well received by the motorcyclists of the country and it makes sense that Yamaha would want to build on that. It is great to see Yamaha once again turning their focus to motorcycles after spending two years growing their sales in the scooter segment. We assume that the new Fazer 250 will share the same specifications as the Yamaha FZ25, based on the relationship between the FZs and Fazer (150cc). The FZ25 has a single cylinder 249cc air-cooled 4-stroke engine which produces 20.9 PS at 8000 rpm and maximum torque of 20 Nm at 6000 rpm.
Since the price tag of the FZ25 is 1.19 Lakh Ex-showroom, we hope that the Fazer price tag won’t be higher than Rs 1.5 Lakh.
The Ex-Showroom price of 200-250cc faired bikes in India as follows,
- Pulsar RS 200 – Rs 1,21,881/- (Ex-showroom Delhi)
- KTM RC 200 – Rs 1,72,370/- (Ex-showroom Delhi)
- Honda CBR 250 – Rs 1,71,646 (Ex-showroom Mumbai)
- Hero Karizma ZMR – Rs 1,07,880/- (Ex-showroom Delhi)
We eagerly await this bike being launched in India. It should be perfect for the touring community of the country.
