Tip: Read the owners's manual throughly, info like this (and more) will be provided in it.
Thanks for the clarification. I didn't get the owner's manual at the time of delivery as all the manuals were packed in godown and they did not take them out. I got it today only and am reading it.

Default Running IN

The running-in procedure mentioned in the owner's manual is as follows :-

Kms.\Gear 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th

0 - 1000 14 22 31 38 45
1000 - 2000 19 31 43 52 62

So, I will have to control myself within this very low speed limits for first 1000 kms. It is very painful on my part. But I have given short burst to 60 kmph twice till now for 5-10 seconds and then allowed the speed to come below 45 kmph.

Will it cause any harm to the engine ?
It is just 50 kms. run till now.

No harm in short burts but dont continually ride like that way

Never keep constant speeds/rpm during first 1000, keep varying it for longer life and proper sealing

Some short burst's are normal and wont cause any harm, infact they are needed at time

OK, I am now relieved. Ya, I don't keep constant speed. I keep on varying after short while.

When I took the delivery, the showroom manager said that only 8 bikes (all black) have arrived and as I was the first to book so I was given the opportunity to choose my bike from the 8. He also said that next lot may take 1-1.5 months to arrive.
