    Thank's Suhail..

I don't have much options in this category.. I require a bike which has a decent mileage and light in weight. I travel around 40 kms a day in Pune city, and sometimes a couple hundred kms on weekend's.

I had a chat with a local mechanic, he said do not buy a Bajaj - high on maintenance, go for a Honda Shine or Unicorn, but I like P135.

Which dealer did you buy your P135 from..??

I brought from sai service, on Bombay Pune Highway. But i reccomend you going to PBKG at FC Road.
Regarding the choices shine and unicorn are definitely top notch when it comes to engines and reliability, but surely BAJAJ is matching up-to them and the P135s engine is surely matching the HONDA'S engine smoothness and for reliability we will have to wait to see the 135s reliability.

      • Ya, suhail, you are right. P135's engine has a very good level of smoothness as compared to the previous Pulsars. And for the reliability part, it's surely wait and watch thing. But, Bajaj has improved the reliability factor of all the bikes over the years and I don't think there will any problem regarding reliability in our bikes.

Today, I washed my Bike with Amway Car Wash. Then left it for drying under shade. After it was completely dry, I applied Amway Silicon Glaze (Auto Polish) with a soft damped cloth on it. Then left it to dry up to a haze. Then again using a clean soft cloth, I buffed it up. And, now my bike is shining like anything , as if it is just out of showroom. What a shine on my bike, I fell in love with it for the second time.

        • @suhil there is no competition for honda in engine refinement and reliability but 135LS can stand with them in engine refinement, thought we will have to wait to see the reliability.
but 135LS is above all Indian Honda bikes in performance.
it can beat any 150cc bike anytime(r15 not counted in this category)
@ alok sam just wait for a month or so until bajaj solves some small problems in135LS.

          • Just ripped my bike till 105Kmph, drove for abut 20 seconds at that speed and then gave a rest of 5 min. I noticed extreme burning smell from the silencer as well as very little amount of black smoke, is it normal. Plus after as said the punctures i think there is a lack of stability, what could be the case. Also I lost a plate which is bolted on the rod just adjecent to the chain cover, and i observed splashes of oil on the rear tire. What could be the cause?

Burning smell is due to the paint on the exhaust, you did'nt need to worry about that.
If your bike has open chain then, Oil will definitely get splashed over the rear wheel if you over lube it. No problems at all...

              • Got my 135LS couple of days back.. today morning it gave me a strange problem.. Was not able to shift gear from 2nd to 3rd.. it was working normal from neutral to 1st and 2nd and not more than that. Went to service as it's near by my home.. he corrected it within 5 mins.. but that was a good scare. Engine is very smooth till you reach 4k rpm in any gear, but after that it's typical pulsar. Pickup is awesome.. also the way it pulls once past 5k rpm (tried it just once to satisfy adrenaline gods).. is pure fun. I'm completely satisfied with my choice.. it's got everything in a typical wishlist.. barring rear disc and monoshock.

                  Thanks...

I think 20 -30 days will pass as the registration itself takes 15 days here in Pune.

How much did silicon glaze costed, I am using motomax and its giving satisfactory results but after polishing I dont feel as if a layer of wax formed on the paint which my earlier polish used to form.

The silicon glaze costed Rs. 429. By using liquid wax polish, you can not feel layer of wax. But if you use hard shell wax paste, then you can feel a layer of wax.

Today, I completed 1000 kms on my bike. One thing I noticed that the trip meter automatically got resetted to 0.0 when the ODO showed 1000. I think that the trip meter's capacity is upto 999.9 and so it resets itself to 0.0 at 1000 kms.
