    • Yes.. the sweets are on me..!!

Will get my bike by 12th May as the parts are to be procured from the company (basic parts are available in the service station, others sill not arrived as P135 is a new model).

Insurance will cover 50% as most of the stuff comes under "Fiber" category.. Will get a clear idea about the claim process either today or Monday.

This was a " Zor ka Jhatka, Dheere se Lage" for me.

I request / suggest all the fellow bikers here to spent some odd Rs. 300 on front wheel lock and Rs. 200 on thick chain lock.. Cause it should not happen to anyone.. Without my bike I feel that I'm handicapped..!! Also for some or all its hard earned money which we have put in.

      • A Few Questions ?

To all the 135 LS owners ....

        1) What is the comfortable highway Cruising speed of Pulsar 135 LS...

        2) how does the bike feel at higher speeds (In excess of 80kmph) ... Does the bike feel planted ? or starts feeling Inconfident ?

        3) How does the bike behave with a pillion on the Twisties ? ..

        4) How is the Headlight Low and High Beam Spread at night compared to Other bikes ? Dependable at Night or feels less with oncoming traffic ??

        5) Does the Pulsar 135LS come with Tubeless tires? or can we opt for Company fitted Tubless tires ? And Can we put Softer Compound tires like the 220 for better Grip.

The 125cc Zeus engine produces 8.7 BHP at 7000 RPM and 10nm torque at 3500 RPM.

The Pulsar 135 LS produces 13 BHP at 9000 RPM and 11.4nm torque at 7500 RPM.

Now, if you consider that, to pull in a high gear at very low speeds, you need a strong & linear torque at lower RPM. But the difference between torque in both the bikes at lower RPM is large. The P135's engine is a high revving 4 valve engine that is a little peaky in comparison. It makes most of its power at higher revv range. If it really manages to pull so well at low RPM, it is great. But I am seriously skeptical.

Now its a little different comparison... but My bajaj Chetak also doesnt knock at 20kmph in fourth(Top) Gear and linearly picks up with a throttle twist. May be is a two Stroker ... but the Torque in Chetak is also decent 10.8NM@3500 RPM.

Its ok when you are used to the riding position otherwise the hands may feel numb as whole pressure comes on it.

            2) how does the bike feel at higher speeds (In excess of 80kmph) ... Does the bike feel planted ? or starts feeling Inconfident ?
            One word - "Heavan".

            3) How does the bike behave with a pillion on the Twisties ? ..
Very well if the pillion is seated appropriately.

            Good

Na, no tubeless sad part, but hey you can always go for a upgrade whichever type of u want, but its specs need to be kept in mind.

            • HELP ME!
for some 240-250 kms my bike is giving a mileage of 35-40kmpl,
i don't know whats wrong with it, i know its not running too rich or too lean,
i took it to svc for proper checkup but it didn't helped.
i treid tuning carb my self for 2-3 times(i am not new to this and i know how to do it) but its of now help.
Yesterday i saw a pipe which comes from the carb and there is just too much fuel there.
              Whats wrong?

I have done it couple of times, and i can say you can cruse at 80-90 with easy and without stressing the engine.

              2) how does the bike feel at higher speeds (In excess of 80kmph) ... Does the bike feel planted ? or starts feeling Inconfident ?

Surprisingly there are no vibes in 80-100 range and it feels stress free.

              3) How does the bike behave with a pillion on the Twisties ? ..

Its fine! but when you are riding it alone its a different story its stable and ultra flickable!
Tell your pillion to hug you
and then its fine with the pillion too

              4) How is the Headlight Low and High Beam Spread at night compared to Other bikes ? Dependable at Night or feels less with oncoming traffic ??

Compared to other bikes the spread is good, but the high beam intensity is a little low.
I'll be getting HID in a week or so.

              5) Does the Pulsar 135LS come with Tubeless tires? or can we opt for Company fitted Tubless tires ? And Can we put Softer Compound tires like the 220 for better Grip

It does not come with tubeless tyres but the stock tyres are good for both dry and wet roads.
and yes anytime you can go for soft compound tyres but P220 tyres are not recommended for P135 but you can go for the one which are on R15
              .

Has the petrol pump guy tricked you? you sure you got the correct amount of petrol on the last fill? Can't think of any other reason for sudden drop of mileage.. btn you mentioned about fitting HID on your bike.. please do post about the cost and it's impact on battery.

                • The petrol pump must have cheated you.

May be you arent calculating correctly, but seriously the pump may also be the culprit even I am confused with this bikes drinking habits some times it give a average of 72 and on next refill it was just 49 .
By the way got the first scratch on my bike and that too a deep one can any body help me with this.

Ditto here... I get 55+ constantly.. enjoying my ride. No issues at all, still to get couple of free services, so even if some niggles are there.. i'm sure they will be sorted out. Hoping for bigger better things from Bajaj..

80-90kmph.. engine feels at it's best in this speed.

                        2) how does the bike feel at higher speeds (In excess of 80kmph) ... Does the bike feel planted ? or starts feeling Inconfident ?

Again, bike feels great between 80-90, after that it's bit slow in getting to three figures

                        3) How does the bike behave with a pillion on the Twisties ? ..

                        Just eats up the corners..

I felt that head lamp is a bit weak, but the best in it's class.

now.. you can't get everything at that price

Just calculated the mileage (after getting my bike back ) its 67. So it depends upon the road conditions and the driving. I travel through city most of the times and the speed is around 45 to 55 with sometimes touching 70.

Its just the experience which will make you understand the fuel gauge,
By the way the init 1 big bar represent 1.5l-2l and the subsequent a ltr or so.
The last single bar represent a lit and when it dissappears the its 200 or so ml.
Note:This is just my exp other peoples may have different interpretation so please................
