1st i faced a problem of cold start, which actually wasn't a problem, just adjusted idle RPM and it works fine.
Today I took the bike to above 100kmph(111kmph to be precise) with pillion for the first time( ) and it was giving a LOT of vibrations, these were bearable for the driver, but when i sat in the pillion it was too much on the footrest! Is it because the bike is like this or as someone mentioned, a better engine oil would solve the problem ?

BTW I paid only Rs 21.00 for sevicing.
Regarding the low battery indicator keep a check on no. of time u use self start and also some times give your leg muscles some strain.
Abhishek, In my bike till 60 there is no vibration, then from 60-80 there is some vibrations (bearable), then after 80 its butter smooth.
Today rode my bike continuously between 80-100Km/h, with just 1200Km on odo, hope this does not screw my bikes engine in long run, what say biking gurus?

I thought so.. BTW P135 requires which grade 20W40 or 20W50?

Cold Start's are common with Bajaj Bike's, they appear during the initial period.. but gradually decreases..

Suhail.. we'll meet up someday.. what say..??

Which oil did you buy ?
Someone(i think Youngboy) suggested using Motul 15W50..but there are no Motul Distributors in my area and its quite expensive! Which oil did you go for and has it affected running of your bike(in terms of smoothness)

You are 100% correct that the low battery indicator depends on the number of times of using self start and the vibrations are mainly in between 60-80 kmph and it is mainly felt on the foot pegs. You rode continuously between 80-100 kmph, for how long ? I don't think it is a good practice to strain the engine for a long period in the run-in period, but short burst till 100 kmph for 2-5 min are okay.

It costed me Rs. 60 in all for both the wheels.

P135LS requires 20W50 oil, check the manual.

Motul Engine oil is not expensive at all. AFAIK, it is cheaper that Castrol Engine Oils.
If you can not find Motul oil in your area, you can go for Castrol Activ Xtra 20W50 oil.

Even Overdrive has a comparision between the Pulsar 135LS, CBF Stunner and the Yamaha FZ-16 in its Feb 2010 issue.

My front wheel was not rotating that freely as the rear wheel and a slight sound was coming from the disc like the pads were getting constantly rubbed by the disc when the wheel is rotated by hand with bike on centre stand. I took it to service centre yesterday. Firstly, they told that it is normal for wheels fitted with disc brake and refused to check the problem at all. But, after a little bit of coaxing, one mechanic took my bike inside and opened the whole black thing (I don't know what it is called) on the disc and inserted a screw driver in the opening, i.e., the place which hugs the disc, and did something (maybe increased the space between the disc pads a bit) and then he fitted it back. He then gave a hard rotation to the wheel with his hand and said see now it is moving more freely than before. Ya, truely the wheel rotation got a bit more free than before but still a little sound is coming from the disc to which the mechanic said that as it is new, this sound is coming and after running for few hundred kms. and usage of the disc brake, the sound would go normally. But, I was not convinced and took my bike home. Could anybody here please confirm me that the little sound on disc and a little not free nature of the front wheel is normal for a new bike run only 50 km till now ?

After reading about talks of price hike on fuels in papers i decided to do full tank on my P135LS (my first full tank). My bike already had about 2.8 lts, i guess because it had not come in reserve (by the way it does come to reserve i have tested it) and had just come to 3 bars in the fuel indicator. I went to Shell - Brookefields, Blr and asked them to do full tank. To my surprise i was able to fill 9.68 lts. So my bike now has in all about 12.48 lts of petrol. Now how is this possible when bike has only 8 lts of capacity !
I verified on my way to office there was no overflowing of tank.

So either Shell, Brookefields is cheating by giving less of petrol for 1 ltr or Bajaj is wrong in measuring the bike tank capacity. Has anyone done full tank before and how much were you able to fill?? Please please please help.....

But, I don't understand, if the tank can hold more than 8 L, then how come my fuel indicator shows all the bars when there is approx. 7.7 L (including 2.5 L reserve) of petrol in tank.

Also I'v clocked 300kms and my petrol tank has just gone down abt 3 inches(maybe 2 or 3 litres) and fuel indicator still shows all bars. Its impossible to get that mileage..im sure my odometer's not wrong

OK, now if the tank capacity is about 12-12.5 lts why does bajaj claim it to be only 8 lts? Any ideas? I am going to shoot a mail to Bajaj in this regard.

And even for Bajaj... why say 8 lts when bike holds 12 lts or more... I understand your bike taking in 13lts for 12 lts tank capacity but 12 lts for 8 lts capacity is just too much... And i dont understand the security part!! People do tank full at the time of fueling, not only bike, but any automobile... So, if doing tank full is a security thread automobiles companies should put that in bold letters that doing so can cause hazards.

No need to worry regarding the tank capacity. The filling stations are also not cheating anyone.
What you people encountered is the same with all Pulsar. The capacity that bajaj states is not till the tank brim. Its till a point in the tank which is way low than the tank brim.
When we get the tank fill to the top its taking more than the amount specified by bajaj.
I experienced the same in my 200 as well!!!
