I would like to check my P135LS for the above problem but unfortunately i am not able to see the dust collection on the engine in the picture. Can someone please guide where to check for oil seal leaks?Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostThis evening I got a chance to closely observe the P135 near my house. From distant thought it as a Hunk. Observed the detailing of the bike and the rear mudguard is an eye sore. Finally the engine part caught my attention where I saw dust collection along the engine case and the rest of the engine is clean, which indicates leaking of oil seals. Here is pic of it. Unfortunately, when I took the pic, my cam settings are at low res. Please bear with it.

she has not gone even for the first service.
but the dust collection is less.
i will point it out in first service.
earlier i thought it because its a new engine and the seal may be a little loose on my bike.
i will surly tell bajaj about this.

Even my 135LS has got tight front brakes, when I intially got it out of the showroom, the guy was like it's normal, it will be fine after 2000km
(In my mind; I was like, ofcourse you fool, I will not have any brake pads/disk left after 2000km to rub against the disk!!)
I had to release a bit of the break fluid to loosen it a bit coz I was only getting 35km/l milage due to the damn tight breaks.. but it's gone back to the same tight state after 2 days!
Now I got a clunking noise coming from my rear breaks when I brake.

My bike also got tight front barke and when I pointed this to svc mechanic, he said it is normal and will be fine after about 1000 kms. But, now after running 650 kms, the brake has lossened which might be because it is worn out to some extent.Originally posted by Cyrus_the_virus View PostEven my 135LS has got tight front brakes, when I intially got it out of the showroom, the guy was like it's normal, it will be fine after 2000km

I am getting 50-53 kmpl mileage.
Ya, in my bike also, when I use the rear brake, some 'tak tak tak....' sound was coming. When I complained about it, the svc mechanic, opened the drum and took out the drum pads and cleaned them and also the inside of the drum where the pads are placed. Then, he placed all together and after that there is no sound while using rear brakes.sigpic

we should complain bajaj about this matter.
and also about the dust collection on joints its present on every pulsar135.
how can we all 135ls owners can complain about this in a group

Lets write a joint mail to Bajaj customer care providing all our customer ids with all the common problems that we are facing. What say?Originally posted by nipunblaze135LS View Posthey

Motul 3000 4T Plus 15W50 Mineral Engine Oil in my P135LS
At my first servicing (last Sunday), the svc mechanic firstly was going to change the engine oil to ELF Moto 4 Gold 20W40 but when I pointed out that 20W50 is required in my bike, he put Castrol GTX 20W50 after draining the factory oil. But, after coming home, I checked the castrol website and came to know that GTX series is for Petrol Cars. From the engine oil thread I got to know that car engine oil is not recommended for bikes and leads to slipping of our wet clutch. I was then cursing the mechanic in my mind for putting car engine oil in my bike.
But, today I found a shop having Motul engine oil and got one bottle of Motul 3000 4T Plus 15W50 Mineral Oil and poured it in my bike. It costed Rs 210/- and also I got one Rs. 20/- cash back coupon inside it. So, actually it costed Rs. 190/- to me. After pouring this oil, I could feel the engine to be very smooth at higher rpms. Earlier, above 60 kmph, there used to be vigorous vibrations in the foot pegs and the engine also seem to be un-smooth. But now, i am happy riding at 60-70 kmph with slight vibrations at foot pegs and smooth engine and soothing engine sound. Overall, I am very happy with this engine oil. I am planning to change to Motul 5100T 15W50 semi-synthetic engine oil as soon as my bike completes 2500 kms.sigpic

In my bike, there is no such dust collection like that along the engine case.Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostThis evening I got a chance to closely observe the P135 near my house. Yes, its a very good idea and a mail to Bajaj immediately shows action. I e-mailed Bajaj regarding my rear brake noise, front disc screeching noise and rear suspension 'kach kach....' sound. After that, the svc called me to take my bike to them. Then they corrected my problems except the front disc screeching sound, which they said will go after the bike runs for 1000 kms or so. And now, there is no noise from rear brake and suspension.Originally posted by DoubleO7 View PostLets write a joint mail to Bajaj customer care providing all our customer ids with all the common problems that we are facing. Today a wierd thing happened....
After reading about talks of price hike on fuels in papers i decided to do full tank on my P135LS (my first full tank). My bike already had about 2.8 lts, i guess because it had not come in reserve (by the way it does come to reserve i have tested it) and had just come to 3 bars in the fuel indicator. I went to Shell - Brookefields, Blr and asked them to do full tank. To my surprise i was able to fill 9.68 lts. So my bike now has in all about 12.48 lts of petrol. Now how is this possible when bike has only 8 lts of capacity
!
I verified on my way to office there was no overflowing of tank.
So either Shell, Brookefields is cheating by giving less of petrol for 1 ltr or Bajaj is wrong in measuring the bike tank capacity. Has anyone done full tank before and how much were you able to fill?? Please please please help.....
