Hopefully the 2017 Yamaha YZF-R6 will make its debut at the INTERMOT 2016. The Japanese motorcycle maker has teased a video on their YouTube channel titled as ‘R World’ and said Stay tuned and see more on 4th October!
We are expecting that the new middle weight super sport will be on the lines of current litre class sibling and comply with Euro4 emission norms.
However, since Yamaha already has the inline 3 platform ready with the MT-09, we wouldn’t be surprised to see an inline 3 YZF-R6 for 2017 and beyond. This is also likely given the fact that Yamaha will be able to directly compete with Triumph’s Daytona 676 which has a 676cc inline 3 engine.
