Rajini Krishnan has won the second round of the China Superbike Championship that took place at the Zhuhai International Circuit (ZIC), China. Chosen as a wildcard entry, the Chennai based rider raced in the 1000cc Superstock category for the China Kawasaki Racing team.
This was Rajini’s debut season in the China Superbike Championship. During the first race, the bike had overheating issue when he was riding in second position. The bike was unable to attain high revs, which pushed him to the fourth place. But the Indian rider managed to finish third overall in the second race, behind the two Class A bikes ahead of him which meant that he was first overall in the Superstock (Class B) category.
Despite winning, the Indian rider might not take part in the next race of the China Superbike Championship, as it is clashing with the dated for the Malaysian Superbike Championship.
