The Honda X-ADV Scooter has finally been revealed at EICMA 2016 in Milan. Honda had been teasing this ADV Scooter concept for a year now. And though a scooter and an ADV might sound like a paradox, the Japanese manufacturer has gone ahead and brought out this bike, err scoot!
The X-ADV is the brainchild of the Honda Europe and will only be sold there. This scooter not just promises to be tackle your bad city roads, but can take a lot more abuse, that off-road riding demands. To ensure that this scooter lives up to its claim, the most pronounced visible details are the larger wheel sizes and extended travel suspension. The front wheel is a 17″ spoked wheel, while the rear is a 15″. Tyres are also a chunky lot with a 120/70 R17 & 160/60 R15 being used front and rear. Travel suspension is 6″ at the front and 5.9″ at the rear.
The Honda X-ADV uses a parallel twin 745cc engine which produces a respectable 54Hp. This is the same mill on the Integra scooter and NC750. The bike has Dual Clutch Transmission system and has a 21 litre storage space. The scooter has good ground clearance and easy maneuverability which makes it ideal for off-roading, though it is quite heavy which is a downside when riding off-road.
