The British firm Norton has revealed its latest V4 RR and the SS and has rolled out full details of its products.
The limited edition SS model is priced at 40,000 pounds and the RR model at 28,000 pounds.
The major highlight of the all-new V4 RR & SS is the all carbon fibre bodywork. In the recent weeks, the motorcycling world has witnessed a bunch of carbon fibre motorcycles being revealed, but it is the Norton V4 RR that has got a full carbon fibre fuel tank for itself.
The carbon fiber tank for the V4 RR is built by BST in South Africa. The tank is of full carbon construction and has also got reinforcement by Kevlar, mainly for the purpose of the impact resistance.
Norton V4 RR superbike powered a British made 1200cc, 72-degree, 6-speed transmission, liquid cooled V4 engine, which churns out 200bhp of power in standard road trim and can go up to another 10bhp with the race system fitted. The standard road system will have a twin under seat exhaust, and is Euro 4 compliant.
The engine is fitted with titanium valves and a race-bred slipper clutch, quickshifer and autoblipper.
Suspension duties are performed by the fully adjustable Ohlins NIX30 fork up front and a fully adjustable Ohlins TTXGP rear shock. The bike offers full-floating disc brakes, radically-mounted Brembo Monobloc calipers, Brembo discs and Brembo master cylinder.
The Standard RR model will offer OZ wheels, whereas the top end SS model will be fitted with BST-made carbon fibre wheels.
Both versions of Norton, SS and RR offer state of the art carbon fibre bodywork starting from the main fender, main fairing, nose section till the tail unit, all being made of carbon. The bikes weighs 199kg (SS) and 179kg (RR).
