What better way to celebrate the spirit of motorcycling and open highways than with music and the ones who make it! So when the folks at REDFm told us about the Riders Music Festival (#RMFIndia) we were excited with the possibilities! And then the India Speed Week (#IndiaSpeedWeek) came into the picture! For the first time in east of India such a massive motorsport festival is being arranged, and that too at an airstrip (Behala Airstrip, Kolkata). Connecting the dots was literally easy then! Ride from Delhi to Kolkata for the #indiaSpeedWeek was the obvious excuse. And then we thought, why not a little more – its not too much riding from Kolkata to Hyderabad to Chennai to Bangalore to Mumbai and then back to Delhi, is it?
We also thank Motul India Lubricants for supporting this initiative whole heartedly. You can log on to www.xBhp.com/theO2Ride or search social media for the hashtag #theO2Ride – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
So here it is, #theO2Ride, Octaves & Octane; together these are as important as the oxygen to us bikers! On this trip we shall be taking selected bikers, who are musicians as well, from all across the country with us along with the xBhp Core team. These musicians (or bikers) will perform live from the road and also connect with other bikers who are musicians, or who pursue music actively.
So how are we selecting these people who will ride with us ? We floated an application on xBhp Facebook asking people to send in their interest in this. We got around 300 entries out of which we spoke and selected 10 odd who will be riding with us as musicians and bikers (at this point of time we need a term amalgamating these two – MotoMusicians, probably?)We are sorry if you missed registering for that but you can still meet us along the way if you a musician and a biker. Here is our schedule :

We look forward to seeing you at Riders Music Festival in Delhi in February 2017 and India Speed Week Kolkata from 9th to 11th December 2016.
We are thankful to our partners – Mi India (their splendid Mi5 phone), Volkswagen India (with their Beetle), Indian Motorcycles (with their Chief Vintage and Scout), Rukka and Spartan ProGear (with their amazing riding gear), Orazo (for their riding boots), MT Helmets India, and of course Red FM. We also thank Pentax India for their flagship K1 and the amazing 360 camera Ricoh Theta360.
