Current City Tak, Thailand Next City Bangkok Days on Road 25 Total Kilometers 6786
xBhp is known for its long distance rides on superbikes, but also we were one of the crazy ones who took scooters around India with a 1000 CC bike back in 2006. So when we heard that a young man was about to embark on a journey usually ruled by bigger bikes, we had to cheer him along!
Meet Arunabh Majumdar! He’s a 28 year old guy from Bangalore, who also happens to be an IIT-Bombay alumnus. Arunabh fell in love with 2-wheelers pretty early when he was only 15 years old and hasn’t recovered from it yet. He has done a few big roadtrips, including a roadtrip to Spiti Valley. He has also done a ride from Mumbai to Bangalore on an Activa along the Konkan coast, covering approximately 2466 kms in 12 days. He has also done a ride to Vighakote, Gujarat on a Splendor. This place is within 700 meters of Indo-Pak border.
Now, as you read this, he’s embarking on a 7000 km solo motorcycle ride from Bangalore to Bangkok across 3 nations, India, Myanmar and Thailand on a 110cc TVS Star City+. The ride will flag off from Bangalore tomorrow, i.e., December 25, 2015, and if all goes according to the plan, it shall take him 28 days to cover the distance from the motherland to Bangkok.
We wish Arunabh all the best for his brave effort and we will also try to bring in the all the latest updates from this ride for our readers. Watch this space for more from him and wish him luck.
