The best way to understand our existence is to experience Nature first hand. Harshil is one of the most beautiful valley of Uttrakhand. A mere 475 kms north of Delhi on the Gangotri route (Check the route map here). One visit to Harshil in winters can put all the senses in order. Located at an altitude of 2700 mtrs, Harshil is the personification of that perfect all year hill destination. Rich in flora and fauna, a mere ride along the highway passing through there can lead one to an encounter with the Black Bear, the Himalayan Tahr, Blue Sheep and if you’re really lucky, even a Leopard. From early January till March end the whole of 40 kms of valley is covered under a white carpet of snow. It’s a paradise for bikers, a different world of frozen streams, waterfalls and river with the rider just needing lots of patience and some skills in riding on snow and ice.

Tilak Soni is our man in the hills of Uttarakhand. He’s a biker, nature lover, and an avid trekker who left everything in Delhi and set up a base in Uttarkashi a few years back to be closer to the mother nature! He recently took the Hero ZMR for a spin on this snow-laden path to Harshil and came back grinning ear to ear. He says that it was an absolute pleasure to ride the ZMR on  that road. The bike  was a perfect blend of power, control, & comfort which is what you need on an adventure roadtrip like this. And what he shared with us from there is nothing but pure white gold! Every time we see these photos, it makes us want to drop everything, pick up our bike, and just head there.
