Aprilia has just dropped a bomb by announcing the RSV4 R FW-GP under its Factory Works program. This new bike sounds like the most technologically advanced bike offered by Aprilia.
The RSV4R FW-GP’s V4 engine is derived from Aprilia’s 2015 World Championship RS-GP 15 MotoGP bike and produces a mind boggling 250 horses, thanks to its 81mm bore, pneumatic valve timing, and Akrapovic full-system exhaust. It is also fitted with carbon fiber bodywork, full Öhlins suspension, and Brembo monoblock calipers.
The buyers of Aprilia FW-GP will get a bunch of ‘value added services’ including hand delivery of the bike along with an invitation to a special Aprilia track day. There will be a bunch of Aprilia race engineers present at the track day who will help tailor the bike’s settings for the owner’s riding style. They will also be allotted an engineer every time the bike is ridden on the track along with a paddock pass for an entire MotoGP race weekend.
Aprilia hasn’t revealed the price yet, but it is given that all this technology and services will come with a hefty price tag which will put this bike out of reach for most prospective buyers.
