Bajaj Auto has sold 1 lakh units of V15 bike in the last four months. The bike was lauched in March this year. The company is now planning to ramp up the production of Bajaj V15 to meed the demand starting from September.
Eric Vas, president (motorcycle sales), Bajaj Auto, said – “We are ramping up the production by September as we are very positive that these numbers will only continue to grow and sustain the Bajaj V as one of the bestselling premium commuter motorcycles in the country.”
Recently Bajaj has introduced the V15 in a new Cocktail Wine Red colour. Previously it was available in two colous – pearl White and Ebony Black. All the three colours are available at an attractive ex-showroom, delhi price of INR 62,002.
Powering the Bajaj V15 is a 149.5cc, single-cylinder, DTS-i engine that, mated to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. It produces 12bhp at 7,500rpm and 13Nm at 5,500rpm. Coming to its dimensions, the Bajaj V bike measures 204mm in length, 780mm in width, 1355mm in wheelbase, 780mm in saddle height and 1070mm in height. The bike offers a ground clearance of 165mm and weighs 135.5kg.
