The Concept Honda City Adventure ADV that the company displayed at EICMA 2015 is set for production in 2017.
Honda France’s head of motorcycle division has reportedly stated that the Honda City Adventure ADV concept which was displayed at EICMA 2015 is at a very advanced stage of production. This Adventure Scooter is based on the Honda NC 750. The City Adventure is likely to be sold under the name of Honda ADV, as that is the name that has been trademarked by the company.
Honda doesn’t actually call the City Adventure a scooter, it describes it as –
the City Adventure concept offers a totally new interpretation of the idea of motorcycling adventure
Call it what you like, this is an attention grabber for sure. Imagine zipping around Indian roads on this, you stop at a red light and a guy on a Splendor rides up to you and asks if it is a modified Scooty! Or a cross between the Honda Africa Twin and the Activa!
The bike is based on the NC750 and has the same 745cc parallel twin engine producing 54bhp. This would be a fun bike/ scooter to ride on the broken tarmac we call roads here.
