Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India, has started dispatching its highly anticipated Honda Navi. Though the availability will commence in a phased manner staring from Mumbai from March’16 itself.
More than 1000 bookings have been already made for this revolutionary new kind of ride. The bookings for Navi can be made via Honda Navi exclusive application, which has registered over 20,000 downloads nationwide.
The company showcased three different models under the Honda Navi brand at the expo – Navi Street, Navi Adventure and Navi off-road. All the three models are fitted with the same 110 cc Honda HET engine that is seen on Honda scooters such as Activa. It produces 8 bhp @ 7000 rpm and 8.96 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. The Navi can attain a top speed of 81 km/h as per Honda and is equipped with 130 mm drum brakes at both front and rear wheel. Honda claimed it to be their first 100% made in India model from concept development to production.
The standard NAVI, starting at Rs. 39,500 (Ex-showroom price, Delhi), will be available in 5 colour options: Patriot Red, Hopper Green, Shasta White, Sparky Orange and Black.
Targeted at the youngsters, Honda claims it to be a fun two-wheeler, which is neither scooter nor a motorcycle in true sense.
