Masaru Abe, 33 years old stunt rider from Japan has set a new world record of 500kms wheelie with his Yamaha Jog Scooter. Abe-San has named this project as Wheelie King.
The previous record of 331 km wheelie was set 25 years ago by a Japanese stunt rider Yasuyuki Kudo in 1991, and Abe took 8 hours, 18 minutes to beat the previous record and continued the wheelie to set the new stunning record. The record event was held at Kawaguchi Auto Race facility in Saitama, Japan and initially Abe was planned to do 600 km record, keeping at 40kmph after 13 hours of wheelie it was an unbearable pain for him to continue, though he has made through a new achievement of a 500km wheelie.
Masaru Abe said: “I thought if I was going to try and break the record, then I would have to post unattainable numbers that would leave people totally speechless. That was the most pain I’ve ever felt. Both of my arms were numb from the pain and I had lost feeling in them. My vision was blurred. I was only partially conscious. I was completely dehydrated. I’d never experienced that before.”
